  1. Why do you want a playmate for him when he doesn't want one? If you're honest you want another dog for 'you'. I agree that a pup will be much more annoying than an adult foster dog! You need to understand the reason for the seperation anxiety.....in most cases the dogs problem is the human and introducing another dog will not fix the problem. I reccomend not getting another dog not even a foster until you have your dogs seperation anxiety sorted out. Well it actually makes you a pretty selfish owner when your dog doesn't want a 'pet'.
  2. Yep but I didn't know he did. The ad Dante just did they were going to do the fancy thing on the computer to make him blink, however he managed to do it all by himself at the right time....go figure!
  3. I taught the dumbell the same way you did and good trainers told me that's the wrong way, you need to teach hold first not for the dog to 'take' or retrieve.
  4. Yep it's online, this course has closed now but I'm sure they'll be another one as it's a pretty popular course. There are different prices for different levels of interaction/support, I went for the cheapy which from memory was under $200US.
  5. I hope it gets returned whilst its still cute.
  6. Yeah I know huh, the 16 week old pup keeps stealing his bed!
  7. I'm doing the course with my 16 week old Dane puppy and I'm stoked with how things are going especially in the last few days since really working on the RZ. Anyone else doing it? How are you going?
  8. She could still be a bit sore, just like when we go to the Back Dr it doesn't magically go away but we start on the path to getting better, I guess it all depends on the depth of the problem. If you're worried call Peter, she might need to go back again.
  9. Could it be due to different scents due to diet? Why he wouldn't appreciate that scent I have no idea...or maybe he associated the scent with them and because he wasn't socialised with people of darker skin he's uncertain of them? Could be so many things huh.
  10. Yeah, I noticed that too. I think his natural nose is cute! Me too!
  11. Press skip, that's just an intro Or you can go straight to the Youtube videos...
  12. People getting their photo taken with his cardboard cut out at the Motor Show hehehe
  13. Yep, filming done here in Sydney. Apparantly Danes aren't very sort after for film work
  14. Yep, that's my beautiful old girl Leila. Someone on here used to have the Dane that was on Country Practice, I forget who though!
  15. Thank heavens.....you know someone is going to make one now though!
  16. Why would anyone not wear the collar? Maybe just 'cause they don't know about it?
  17. It'll sell because there are a bunch of people who no matter what can't treat their dogs like dogs.
  18. I don't like them because they once (may still do) support BSL. I don't like them because of how they treated a Rescue organisation on this Forum and how they treated their dogs....in the end they showed they didn't care about the dogs. I don't like them because of how they treated a Breeder who showed de-barked dogs. I don't like them because of my own personal experience with them through rescue. And those are just a few cases that were well kown here on DOL...imagine what else is lurking. I'm not against Euthansia, it has to happen in many cases in rescue, I don't know what they do on that side of things so can't comment.
  19. Yeah he wanted the food I had, she was in heels she could barely walk in, so we yelled LET GO!
  20. No, no april fools, you're not serious right? LOL 3 days of hard work for Mr Dante....pretty elaborate April Foold joke! You can match up all his patches from his photo to the ones in the commercial if you like, they added a couple of patches on his face but everything else will match. I'm in the Making of the film video too....but you prob haven't seen me before lol
  21. About 2 months ago, 2 animal agencies contacted us about the possibility of using Dante in TV Commercial, we were stocked to discover it was for TOYOTA in Korea, we ended up going with the Animal House Agency, they were awesome to deal with and their head Trainer Lindy who stuck by us through the 3 days was such a barrel of knowledge, and the amount of tricks she had up her sleeve to keep getting a dogs attention when they were so over it was very impressive Strangely one of the hardest things he had to do which you'll see on the 'Driving Movie' is Heel on the incorrect side, for an obedience trained dog who knows exactly where heel is he really had trouble with it, I'm sure he thought I was trying to trick him to get him into trouble LOL Where he's in the car, the back seat was actually taken out and I was tucked ducked down behind the other sit putting him in position and giving him direction and my OH was outside the car on the trailer getting his attention. During filming we did it with Natural ears and holding his ears up, they later decided to go with the cropped look, they also gave him a Black nose and whitened him up a bit. The lady in the commercial is a famous Korean Acress and Author. If you'd like to see 3 of the videos they released today, have a look at the below. To see the making of the commercial, go to http://www.mycorolla.co.kr/, an intro will start, you can watch that or skip it, scroll down the bottom and select COROLLA STORY then 'Making Film': To see one of the ads, click DRIVING MOVIE, as shown below with the red highlighted link: Then there is the commercial where he talks Select COROLLA STORY link at the bottom of the page and then select AD LIBRARY, then select the link on the right shown by the Red highlighted link below: Very proud of my boy and will remember that when he's naughty next time Without the Air Brushing, this is what he looks like...
