  1. How do you think all the breeds we have today came about? Not that I support x-breeding, however when there is a group working towards the recognition of the breed and doing all the right things.... Although there are a bunch who aren't are just see $ signs.
  2. They are a x-breed. I understand there are some people on the Lab x Poodle world doing the right thing in terms of working towards breed recognition....it's a long process with a number of criteria's to meet....one of which you need the dogs to breed true....look the same....currently they don't.
  3. How about getting in the car and going to a safe area to walk him, you can take the kids as well.
  4. Sorry to hear what happened however no one is making you give your dog up, you are deciding to do that yourself. You may think that's rude, however I've been in the situation of stray dogs attacking my dog but he still lives me... Your dog isn't behaving at home because A) you haven't trained the dog to do so B) you're not giving the dog enough mental stimulation coupled with the right amout of physical stimulation suitable for a puppy/young adult. I hope that you have reported each instance of attacks with your local Council. I reccomend you work with a Behaviourist and if you do n't have the time/money/motivation then probably best to contact a working dog rescue to see if they can assist you.

  7. What a great session and a validation of your skills.
  8. Pinn Hip can be done early can't it i.e. on a pup?
  9. At the top left hand side of the screen you will see the DOL Logo, under that it says Dogz Online Home Page, click on that and it will take you here: http://www.dogzonline.com.au/ Select Breed Pages You will then be presented with a listed of Registered Dogs in Australia, select the Breed of your choice and then you can Browse through 'Registered Breeder' listings. Being 'Registered' doesn't mean everything will still be ok, but it's a good starting peg and then you can do your research from there. Good Luck.
  10. Don't bother unless you actually know that's the problem. Allergic dog owners waste so much money self-diagnosing their dogs allergies. Head to the Derm
  11. Yes, ignore the firestarters.
  12. How do you figure that? She's just asking a question....stop looking for something that isn't there.
  13. Sorry I don't know anyone going that can accept on our behalf if we were to win. We'd be more thann happy for you to accept it on our behalf

  15. Nah, I think you can already do that via a mobile phone with the right software. It's much easier to get your unsuspecting kid to carry a mobile phone than it is to wear a collar anyway ;)
  16. dislike.....and my dogs wouldn't fit LOL
  17. My allergic boy is covered in scabs at the moment and on anti-biotics....bacterial infection. Prob best to have your Vet look at it. Yep, litter mates can bite around the neck and cause some scabbing.
  18. I'm sure you're not the only one. I don't personaly, I would think that would place anxiety into your relationship?
  19. Different takes on it, so many times people use the term Dominant as a bad thing. My old girl could keep a new foster dog out of the lounge room with just one look, never resorted to physical assaults....you could call that dominant. I have a boy who will try to dominate other dogs with his body but will launch a physical assault more often that not, with people he asks if the same rules apply everyday...you could call that dominant.
  20. No problems but you can buy them here too http://www.aussieagility.com.au/products/tugtoys.htm
  21. Supervised toilet breaks I believe are the only way to successful toilet training.
