.Look at Deerhounds and Wolfhounds as a start they are wonderful dogs.

The breeder should at least be given the opertunity to take the dog back .The OP's past reluctance to communicate with the breeder is puzzling.To me it shows a lack of maturity.The breeder knows the dog well and could give the best advise for it's welfare and assist in rehoming the dog. I hope Pinkpuppy can step up and do the right thing.I would like to know how things go for the dog.

That's wonderful news.I can picture the two grinning girls at the neighbours door;,bet they were thinking surprise we are home.

Saw the ABC news report.The pictures were very clear.I hope the thieves are squirming.

Good places to put flyers might be petrol stations,video stores,and fast food outlets; keeping fingers crossed.

Is this done on farms to teach young herding dogs or just to learn not to run off ? How and what can the young dog learn from the other dog.?

At first i thought oh the old dog is teaching the Staffy to follow his owner.This may be fine in a quiet area but at a busy shopping centre they may trip someone up or be harassed by another dog. I have seen the old Lab a few times before following his owner off lead.I hope when he goes the owner doesn't expect the Staffy to do the same as he may get stolen or thought to be a dangerous dog on the loose.

No they were only attached to each other not the owner,he was riding ahead on his bike and they followed behind.The chain was about half a metre long covered in tubing so it didn't bend in the middle.

Was at the shop yesterday and saw an old Labradore with a short plastic covered chain on his collar;the other end on the collar of a young staffy.They were following a man on his bicycle.At first i thought it was cute but then thought it could be dangerous .Not sure who was meant to be leading who.Maybe the old dog had poor vision or it was to stop the young one wandering off. Has anyone come across or used this tandem arrangement before ?

Some groomers in my area run grooming classes once a week to teach the basics.And you can guess why from reading this thread.It would be a good way to meet other ppl and dogs too.Ring around the groomers and ask and check your local paper too.

I was reading an article today and it said black pups can occur in litters of Golden Retrievers.Is this so?Why would this occur.?
