  1. Awesome article. Also loved the photos! Thanks for sharing :)
  2. Axe is handsome! Keep them coming everyone. They are all so gorgeous
  3. He was gorgeous by the way VM. I love vizslas :D
  4. On that page VM with the link you have at the moment, theres a section to the right that has "share links" You want to copy the one that is under IMG and paste it in :) Otherwise just use the link you have and click the little insert image (the icon looks like a picture of a tree) in the comment editor here on dol :)
  5. Googling never helps. I too am guilty of this with sick pets. but it really doesnt help anything. Most recently i was reading horror stories about cats, as mine was sick, and every one was bad. Mine ended well, maybe i will have to go put it on google to counteract some of the negative. Hope he continues improving Aliwake. You are definitely an excellent dog owner, don't beat yourself up about it :)
  6. Nah. Upgrade to a Mal :p I actually would love to do that also  Believe it or not i am hoping for a mal for my next dog if the right one pops up :D Otherwise maybe just a pound pup.
  7. That is ok- i dont think anyone did  I wont be offended and will ask Troy to remove this one :D I too have a soft spot for rthe GSD's. Have always loved them.
  8. I made my own thread earlier- but its not as popular - i may have to go delete it  But i will repost my photos again haha My past and present cav crew- and indi I was the co-owner of Indi, a gorgeous GSD, born in 2009. She was sadly pts at just under two years old due to a degenerative spinal issue I still miss her. I will get another GSD one day in the future.
  9. Steph M's later version was more popular- so head over there  http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/262188-national-puppy-day/
  10. BH is still being made in Victoria & using 100% Australian produce. The business of whether or not you would still call it Australian Owned is a tricky one. It was sold to the Australian sister company of a New Zealand Company & is registered on the Australian Stock Exchange. The people making it & running the show are still the same as are the recipes. :) Interesting! Thanks for clearing that up Sheena :)
  11. Glad he is doing ok Fingers crossed he stays on the improve.
  12. My dogs did not do well on BH at all, my previous dogs were fed on RC for a long time and it worked very well for them. Anzac the Cav (cav variety) and Indi the GSD (gsd food.). Excellent muscle tone, and coat shine. They also got raw bones often. I Now feed my current 3 fully raw and they are even better than my previous in terms of coat lustre, muscle and the clean teeth. But i know this diet doesn't work for everyone. It is more time consuming. I didnt think so either.. I could be wrong though but i thought i recalled a thread of sad DOL'ers
  13. Lucky boy is probably being spoilt by Elise! Hope all is well this morning.
  14. My friend had this same issue- it wasn't the prettiest, but she had taped some thick clear plastic over the screen. It still got a bit of heat loss, but stopped any breeze :) It was a definite improvement.
  15. Fingers crossed he gets better soon :hugs: I know some people who used to use grapes as treats before it was found to be a bad thing. I guess their dog was just not sensitive to them at all So hopefully not a problem to you either. ETA: My dog had a similar thing Saturday actually. Threw up that previous night at 1am, and again at 5am, wouldn't eat all day, just wanted to curl up or eat my bamboo. Fine the next day. Hopefully that is what Nix has.
  16. If you are asking in regards to establishing your breed in Australia, i think this could be a good thing to join :)
  17. I will jump in to say that Rowan is the fantastic one that you hear about. I saw someone else there and really was not impressed at all, when i spoke to the people who recommended me said "yes, you have to specify Rowan." Thats not good at all.. I am also in the market for a new vet. I have two near me, one that i used to love, but previously she has gotten more sales oriented and was also unnecessarily rough with my cat So she's out. So i use the other if needed. I am just hanging in there until i get out of vet school myself and no longer need anyone else
  18. Was just going to say the same. Gorgeous photos grumpette. I could never tire of seeing photos of your dogs :)
  19. Yes, ive always known them as O rings also. Good luck! Would love to see the finished product :)
  20. I learnt this the hard way too But it is very effective for splinters!
  21. She is gorgeous! Would love to see some pics of your other two as well :D
  22. I took the dogs to the park this morning, and Kokoda decided to dig a hole under the childs playground. I did fill it back in afterwards, but he made a decent attempt at digging to china! And i just fell in love with this shot :)
