Acceptable Play Between Pup And Older Dog
denali replied to Nushie's topic in General Dog Discussion
This really helped me with 2 & 3 of my issues. Cause I do think it is bullying and will continue with stopping the play and time-outs. But does anyone have any advice with number 1? Is he offering to play with her? When she catches him, he doesn't growl or anything, just runs in other direction and trying to get her to chase him? I just need to know if it is something that is playful and I should allow it or should I stop it and take the toy away? Mine do this same thing- i have never thought of it as bad. Just as a chasey game- Deniki loves to chase and Kokoda loves to run haha He will sometimes catch and tug for a bit before the rounds start again. So i think it's ok, that is- if it is how my boys play- but from reading it sounds like it is harmless. -
Vent: Why Do People Get A Pup Without Really Thinking It Over
denali replied to Scottsmum's topic in General Dog Discussion
And cats. Had a cat handed in to work today because they dodnt want it. It had already been adopted from the RSPCA then palmed off to the adult daughter who then brought him in. He is in trial in a new home though so thats a good thing. A better home than ever before im guessing. OMG. Same with my breed Stressmagnet. Cavaliers are pretty much as 'foodie' as labs are. And so many are grossly and morbidly obese. I also know some uber fat labs. I just hate it -
He does make a very cute little fish! Not so much of a cute whale shark though

yes VM- where is HH! I like the first Tay :) Love the lighting in it. Thank you Grumpette! I think theyre pretty gorgeous too | Harry, Henry- pretty much the same- still a name of royalty, im sure he wouldnt mind He answers to fatboy. So he would probably not mind Harry at all! Awesome shot Teekay! Love it

I'm bad at this already I have plenty more that i wanted to share - so if you have nothing better to do you should have a look :) I don't have many on there but i think worth sharing :) https://www.flickr.c...s/kokodathecav/ so week 4/52 This series was going to be my 4- im just a tad late! Some fun at the park after our rain. Despite his strangled expression he loves to swim more than anything else (even me i think!) And I had to share this one, just because it is so him. Hope you dont mind the extra photo- i have difficulty choosing He was rolling around and having so much fun. Deniki is the best at finding joy in all situations. week 5/52 This was taken on Australia day- we had a cavalier picnic with come other Brissy cavaliers. This is my Henry who was sitting under a park bench stealing pats all afternoon

I have one of these and a chillybuddy- however i find this one dries out MUCH faster. So not really suited to bushwalks etc. It says it lasts a few hours and i would disagree. Between agility runs it works very well :) I have to carry a waterbottle to re-wet it on longer outings.

He is clearly loving it! Lucky boy going to the beach! -
I would definitely insist on it being done free of charge. Thats very bad of them to ignore your request in the first place.

Grumpette Baylee is the photobomb pro!! So great And thank you- that photo of Anzac is my alltime favourite of him. When he passed my sister got it printed on a canvas for me, so it sits above my bed to be seen every day :)

She looks gorgeous to me Helen! I had a tough choice this week- took the dogs to the park and got some shots i was super happy with BUT i also went to seaworld. So i think that wins out. It was too hard picking one- so you get two. Official 3/52 Because who doesn't love seals (aka: dog mermaids) So funny- Mr Clawde the seal did not want to perform at the seal show that day- so they had to swap him out half way through as he just kept jumping back into the water It was hot. Don't blame him. Also got to feed their rescue seals. So gorgeous. Bonus pic

Hardly as fun though.

GrufLife- his concentration face is amazing!

Deniki LOVES to roll around the ground. Taken while he was doing so. And Henry having a bit of fun too

Don't worry, I'm a vet with two purebred cats (as well as two rescues) and a purebred dog - you should hear the flak I cop sometimes  Jokes aside, there's more than enough scientific (health-related) evidence to seriously question the practice of routine desexing, especially in large breed dogs. Of course I'm against backyard breeding and accidental pregnancies, however I'm also against mindless desexing. I think every case needs careful consideration of the possible benefits and risks. So nice to hear this coming from a vet! Can we have more vets like you please :) Well in 8 years you'll have me Just have to get through 8 years of uni!

Amazing photo Kirislin Huga that is an awesome shot! I love it :) CC I love Poppy's matching collar and sunshirt. She's so stylish! Two of my 3 do it :) The other- he only runs to dinner And even then its nowhere near as fast or impressive looking. ETA: i was looking at pictures once of my guys and i was so sure it was a double suspension, so i searched and came up that it was only a sighthound thing. So i just assumed I was crazy. Glad im not!

The Adventures Of Ronin And Tigger - Update 29/05/17

There are never too many ronin pics Yonjuro! -
I think it would be worth trying it on. The XS is probably good for Odie as i would say she's not as long in the body as Kokoda is. The length was our only issue with the XS.
-
I had that for Koda- i say had as i have misplaced it And it fit the same. Worked though. The other size was much to small along his back- and i wanted it to span as much as possible. So long as the neck one isnt too loose- otherwise they can get legs caught in it.- it should be ok :)

Genius Perse!
