  1. definitely give calendula tea a go to soothe in the meantime.
  2. So glad to hear they are getting better already and that they're not as bad as originally thought I agree, wire is probably better. Plus so much easier to reward them through it as you dont have to unzip the door. You can buy nice little covers too for after their initial training :)
  3. All of your work is exquisite! Love the collar you made Neeko. Shame its gone
  4. I love looking at them! Does that count? I've never actually met any well trained ones, so my knowledge of them is very limited to bad things. Though i am sure if raised correctly they would be fabulous- Ronin looks to be! But that hair!! I'd have to get a robot vacuum haha
  5. Love his harness! Definitely agree. I think my males dogs are a little more feminine than i imagine they like haha Mine is definitely not as serious looking, but i got these leads in the mail the day before last, and used them for the first time yesterday. I LOVE them ! A friend of a friend made them for me. They are leather, colour coded like my dogs :D So soft and has the o-rings in various places so they can be long, short, looped, tied around things. So handy! Edit- tried to flip photo. Couldn't get it to work. So youll have to turn your head :)
  6. I know some people have had great success with this, and moreso when used in conjunction with a thunder coat. But it does seem to be an individual type thing and doesnt always work unfortunately
  7. I found this with the sporting aussies. Had no clue as i had only ever known the 'show look' type! I can tell now, but upon first meeting i thought they were BC's Rozatte aussies are nice looking dogs! Edit: make quoted bit smaller
  8. This is hilarious! hahaha Makes me feel so much better about my uncoordinated dogs. The dogs and lemons one is also great
  9. I love cavaliers, and german shepherds. My next would be a cav i would say, but i would be happy with either :D My one day list is greyhound, would love one through GAP but has to be cat friendly, rottie, WSS, vizsla, some rescues and i am sure many more breeds i will fall in love with... OT but i want a bengal cat and a pure egyptian mau  We have a 50% egyptian mau and he is awesome.
  10. Depends which country you're in. The show Siberians in the UK and much of Europe are far more like the racing dogs we have here. It very interesting to see the difference from country to country. For example this is the dog what won it's breed at Crufts this year http://crufts.fossedata.co.uk/Breed.asp?ShowYear=2014&GroupID=WOR&ScheduleID=22 Very different to those here! this one was on the leaderboard on DOL: http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/profile.asp?dog=77442 Both Gorgeous dogs, but working wise- i imagine Crufts dog would be able to run for hours with those legs!
  11. Good point. It is not easy. Some breeds do or at least try to. They have specialty shows that require more proof of temperament. Not enough breeds unfortunately. I think it still all falls back on the breeders. The judges can't be responsible for breeders breeding with dogs that possibly shouldn't be bred from. They make the decisions to breed. It is about their ethics, their ability to objectively critique their own dogs. I could be wrong, but in germany do they not do something like this with GSD's?
  12. I also agree with the above, being able to achieve ALL of a breed standard should be strived for more often. I look at GSD's and Labradors in show rings and I almost always feel they done meet the standard as much as their working counterparts Agreed - love some of the flatout dogs! :) edit: attached was not one I can't get it to work for me today
  13. I saw one of these on FB this morning. I imagine some dogs would love them!
  14. Yep, My ruby cavalier is 'Red' The otehrs are black and tan and tricolour though. I would probably go grey. I think pepper is used to describe schnauzers?
  15. I have an ICE contact too. But also a passcode on my phone.. So don't know how useful that is. The glovebox of my car has a laminated page with my wishes and photos of my pets too though.
  16. Mine got a bag of treats each, Henry got a DOOG Stick Family toy- they are hilarious. Bought for my entertainment haha Deniki got some chuckit balls- a glow in the dark one, and one tuggable one with a string, Kokoda is meant to have a rope knot lizard on the way- but we will see if it comes in time. The cat has some dried fish- its been hard keeping them out of that one!
  17. Oh they are gorgeous! The cake looks great
  18. Gorgeous! Arent they all  eta: or is that just mine?
  19. LOVE those sparrows. Amazing shots all round though.
  20. Just awesome shots Kirislin! and Ping too I've never tried, maybe next time we have a decent strom ill give it a go :)
  21. Poor Bon. Thats probably not helping her either. ps. and OT she is so adorable ETA: agree with Huski. Looking forward to a hopefully happy update and solution. Thank you she is. She's lovely and I do feel for her if Lucy isn't rehabilitatable then there is only 1 option and that is euth as I would never rehome Bon and Lucy wouldn't be rehomeable as she is The week shouldnt go too slowly. Just keep them separated and dont stress too much about it. You/re doing everything you can at the moment. I am sure Lucy will be able to be helped- it may take some time but you seem definitely prepared to do absolutely everything to help your girls.
