I always cheer Reggie when he does a 'big boy wee' He hardly marks at all, so it's a momentous occasion! Glad i am not alone! This is why i love DOL- im not the crazy dog person here.

Poor Bon. Thats probably not helping her either. ps. and OT she is so adorable ETA: agree with Huski. Looking forward to a hopefully happy update and solution.

OMG Kirty! That is the definition of a cat friendly grey

Poor Bon That attack is horrible! Agree with all the others. Revoke privileges. And she is definitely not friendly. That to me almost looks possessive. In a 'you are my slave" kind of way.. Deniki has been getting snarky lately over me. All my pets sleep on my bed - 3 cavs and a cat. My cat, Todd, went to jump up the other night and Deniki jumped off and pinned him to the ground! I was not happy with him and quick as a flash I reset up the crate in my room and he was in there. He wasn't too happy but hasn't tried anything again. I just dont want him thinking that he can do this. I think he did it to the cat as he is the bottom of the dog pack. Little does he know my cat has claws and probably isnt afraid to attack back..

God i feel like a terrible owner My dogs get left outside be it winter or summer.. However, If i am inside with the aircon and need to run errands for say 2 hours or so i will leave them inside with the aircon on. Otherwise they are out the back with lots of water, a paddling pool and icepacks tucked under their mats.

I also agree, i have always loved the boys but have noticed females are more expensive. All my dogs were cheaper than their female siblings, and one of my boys marked down even more for an umbilical hernia- his 'bellybutton' is harmless and oh so cute. My boys dont either rebanne. Actually, we were road tripping and Deniki cocked his leg on a bush and i actually pointed and said "OMG, Rhianna (My sister whom i was travelling with) look! He's peeing on the bush!" and a few passers by thought i was the weirdest person in the world

That is just amazing! so heartwarming. Ditto to grumpette- they certainly do choose us. And he was very determined to not lose his chosen humans! And he must be very fit !

Tips For Eventually Introducing New Dog To Anxious Current Dog

Sorry for your loss of alfie. I would say gender wise a male would likely be better. Female dogs can often not get along well with other female dogs. Hopefully other with better advice will pop in soon. -

The Adventures Of Ronin And Tigger - Update 29/05/17
denali replied to Yonjuro's topic in General Dog Discussion
Thanks Denali - he really is a goofball sometimes  I'm not gonna lie. All these photos make me want to fly to WA and steal him. He seems a lovely boy. is he much of a barker? Aww thanks Denali, he actually came from NSW :) As far as barking goes, very very rarely. Sometimes he will make a sort of bark when a cat sits on the fence but it is low volume and very very deep. If he growls at the cat he sounds like a Tibetan throat singer  He's travelled a fair way! Perfect. He's coming to live with me then :D  at the tibetan throat singing -

Classic 'dogs Locked In Cars' Comment Today

That poor dog I like the saying "Duct tape can't fix stupid but it can muffle the sound"  -
Was just going to say cavvie, until i read read the 3rd sentence. Staffies can be great with kids. Called the 'nanny dog.' Though i'd worry maybe a bit rough with your oldie and may need more exercise. I don't know much about them in that regard. Daschunds are probably too delicate but i know many families happy with their daschunds. I am really struggling with shorthaied breeds that match! Chi - too delicate JRT - need lots of exercise Boston terier - exercise frenchie maybe? Smooth fox terrier? Tenterfield terrier schnauzer - hairy but i dont think shed much. The larger gundogs viszlas and the like are great dogs. But do need to be kept busy. Don't know too much about any of them. Hopefully someone helpful can chime in.

Are they only ANKC run? If so, my breed isn't able to compete ETA: congrats amber! Very cool to be the first
-
True it would. I knew that would have been too easy an option  I hope it works though, that would be the best of both worlds!
-
 i can picture that in my head too!

i'm looking into this, i've emailed k9pro about how long a back order would be as they're out of stock atm...the one downfall of harnesses is that they are back clipping and Laiken is on an Easy Walker harness as she pulls and has only just started learning any leash skills. That is a bit of a pain.. I dont know of any harnesses with a front clip and velcro patches. Probably not, but you couldnt wear them under each other could you?

Yonjuro- that second undie shot is gold. So cheeky. hahah omg stan! -
definitelya trip to the vet. But if it is patella its not too scary. My boy Kokoda has a LP in one of his hind legs, with exercises to strengthen muscles he no longer skips. However his was mild. Some cases are surgical.

That is gorgeous Thanks Justrace :) and yes the park is lovely and fenced in, it has lemon trees and a mulberry tree for anyone to take fruit. It is definitely a family park as opposed to a dog park, but dogs are allowed. It is very cool!
