  1. Me too. Thats why i love DOL so much. You all understand me!
  2. Not sure about the first question re. going on heat. But i do know all vets dont tattoo. The vet i work at currently wont tattoo if requested, and two of my 3 desexed dogs werent tatoo'ed well enough and now they arent visible. If they dont push hard enough the tatoos dont work very well. So it is a possibility.
  3. An XS would definitely work then :) I love leopard print too. I didnt realise until someone pointed it out but i have so much of it around my house
  4. I like to do that sometimes too hahah Most cav people with one just have the small size. I went M mainly as my guys typically share But one of mine is a Small. So you guys could probably get away with an XS. I attached a picture of Henry on the Small- he is around 9kg and around 32cm tall. :) Hope that helps! You're in brisbane arent you? Definitely suggest going to a stockist to get the pretty cover rather than buying online and paying extra for a cover. Plus you could try out both sizes Edit to fix quote. and add picture.
  5. Interesting. All the stockists here have the beds covered in the fancy covers for no extra cost..
  6. yep. i have the medium sized beds which i think are advertised to support 30kg- even when i lay on it (at ~67kg) i dont sink to the floor!
  7. OT and while we're enabling but you need to try an Exped Megamat. Best. Thing. Ever. They look so good! Incredibly comfortable and as easy to set up and pack up as they say. thats good to hear. You have no idea how many things are 'easy' to pack up. Pfft. Easy.. not so much. My old tent was one of them
  8. The neocort keeps it moist- it will clear it up but youll find the drier it is the faster it goes- so IMO i would say no. I wouldn't.

  10. I know- the jump from an xl to a XXl is crazy! Maybe they ahve to be custom made? but it is a lot. May as well buy a human mattress..
  11. hmmm, this is the enabling my budget could accept. :D And i bet horrible herbert would love eating it just as much!
  12. I am happy to test for you- ill pour some water on it and see how it goes :)
  13. Maybe foam and then quilt? That eggshell stuff or memory foam. I was thinking the same. A thick piece of the eggshell stuff would work quite well I imagine.
  14. I donate blood myself on a regular basis- I will definitely check this out.
  15. It appears you do if you buy through the website. I bought from a stockist where they stock all the fancy designs. They are pricey- but definitely worth it for Henry. Probably not something I would have bought if all my dogs were unaffected by arthritis. i feel you there! It is a pain. I havent had them long enough to wash yet- so dont know how easy it is- but they are covered with something on the inside. You could do that, but these are quite firm on the bottom. They do feel a bit like a human mattress in that they have a harder bit on the bottom and a soft fluffy bit on top. So i don't think you'd get the same affect with a quilt. But that would also be really comfy! Edit to fix quotes
  16. the cool pad insert would have been handy last week! I just chucked an ice pack in there. But a properly designed thing would be nice. I know the small beds come with heat packs.
  17. Thats not ok with any breed. If anyone did that to one of my dogs they would quickly see who screams louder as i pin them to the floor
  18. They are all gorgeous dogs! I definitely see the allure.
  19. Wont lie. I put one of the new ones on the couch for myself to enjoy for a day before giving it to the dogs It was very comfy! Please! Stop! Please! I do not want to be enabled. I actually thought they might be human comfortable too. I will stop now, My parting comment is that they are very human comfortable ;) Actually- just found this on their facebook page! Bought specifically for their tiny humans

  21. So, a while ago I saw a review one of my facebook friends put up about "Henry Hottie Heat Beds." I naturally was curious- i love spending money on my dogs- obvious if you look at all the dog paraphernalia (toys, collars, treats etc.) in my house I was impressed but not 100% convinced. Then someone else recommended them I figured "Fine. Ill give one a go." After all, Henry my rescue boy has dodgy hips and is always slow to get up after napping, and the others I try to prevent things as much as possible- so this would be good if it worked. Anyway- on day 2 of having one in my bedroom i woke up in the middle of the night and only one dog was on my bed. Two had chosen to sleep on the floor on it! They have never slept on the floor ever. Like ever. even in the middle of the summer when i would rather they sleep on the floor. I was at first shocked, then felt a little neglected and then was happy that i paid for something they actually use for once! I also noticed that morning that henry wasn't staggering when he got off the bed like usual! I was so happy I went and bought two more to replace our other beds. They aren't the cheapest things, but the dogs love them and they do seem to work. And a local rescue got my old beds :) Another big plus for me was they are Australian made in Brisbane- which i always try and support local business when possible. And they have some gorgeous covers that are changeable. You should all check them out- especially if you have older or arthritic dogs. Not enabling or anything ;) http://www.henryhottie.com/ Our beds: My second cover i bought. ETA: Now back to work to replenish my bank account
  22. OMG! Those videos are the cutest things i have seen all week!
  23. Wow! So similar! And both gorgeous dogs. maybe you should apply? I Believe this too. Wholeheartedly.
