  1. Awesome! And beautiful place to go walking. And i am guessing Don isnt very good at coming back when called?
  2. I think it could be as they look ok in the walking picture.
  3. I worked at a holistic vet for a little bit and they used intravenous Vit C injections in their cancer dogs :)
  4. Agh, makes me want to go back to all of those places! Sorry if they are too big- i used the links from Facebook- which is also why their quality is lacking a bit..
  5. This was in vancouver- This was in Montana, Usa. Quebec And this one was taken out of a car window- and no editing. It was such an amazing sunset.
  6. I have some- none from my own area though All taken on holidays!
  7. I'd like to see those statements expanded upon. Artificial pets triggering human emotions - I don't doubt it for a minute. Can they satisfy skin hunger, lower blood pressure, encourage responsibility in children, encourage exercise, provide warning of intruder or fire? I don't doubt that a very complex robot might do all those things. But the idea that it would be "cheaper" than a dog, at least initially? I don't think so. And I don't want one. Nor would a robot be able to pick up on our chemical and physical signs of happiness, stress, sickness etc.. Not in the near future anyways, maybe oneday. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future they made robotic pets specifically for this reason actually. A health monitoring system that provided an emotional comfort rather than the uneasy feel of sterile type equipment. Well Disney kind of made a prototype in their Big Hero 6 movie Not a pet though.

  9. agreed. but there will never be any in my house!
  10. Funny you say that, i just had to remove one of those styrofoam trays meat comes on from Deniki earlier who somehow was carrying one through the house. Thankfully not the absorbent piece! And at lunch time today Henry decided to rip open a box and then the tube and consume the eye ointment inside Don't worry- called the poison control and he chose a good medicine to eat I think these two are partners in crime, as Kokoda has never really eaten anything he shouldn't have- except cat biscuits ETA: had a lab that came in to work the other day who had eaten two of those green enviro shopping bags. Nothing was in them. He just ate the bags..
  11. that's alot! It is, isn't it! Maybe i need to gather info like this too and send it to the council. OT- but I remember there was a thread with someone asking about poo bags- i said i took them from dog parks. I remember some people being very unimpressed- even angry at me for that, but I don't use the parks yet still pay these ridiculous fees to the council- so when walking, i do take a poo bag on my way past for each of my dogs!
  12. brisbanes is annual- "an initial application fee of $253.65 applies with a subsequent renewal fee of $154.65" + the individual registrations. Its annoying..
  13. I have really come to like cockers :) The more i meet the more i want one! So cute!
  14. If anything their marketing is brilliant! The clinic i work at received a package from them yesterday, usually its a box with some brochures, wall posters etc. maybe a trial tablet or two, they have sent a little cardboard card that has a screen! Like those singing cards it starts when you open it and plays through a little introductory video. Its very cool. I was impressed So futuristic! I am interested to know if it does in fact last the full 3 months.
  15. If my dog was at that grooming salon and happened to catch something I would move to sue JD. I would have grounds for that too! Shame on him. Also reading some of the comments on the groomers fb page- some people are morons. Obviously our quarantine laws are too strict according to them. Uh, thank you but i like not living with rabies. Also a bit OT- can our native animals get rabies? Drop bears would actually be real..
  16. They are just gorgeous! So realistic too
  17. Yes, poor Henry has been left out a few times, locked behind doors etc. as he is just so quiet! I do give him just as much attention, but he doesn't ask for it as much as the others.
  18. all of my dogs so far have slept on my bed since day one
  19. When i first started any of my pups on raw i did it with barf patties. However deniki I did the PMR. With puppies you want to gove them organs as soon as possible, but it is dependant on theindividual dogs stomach as to how well they would cope with it all. Definitely feed lots of edible bones :)
  20. They do usually say redose if they vomit.. But i would be hesitant
  21. Kokoda has recently progressed to a handstand against the wall :) Also was very happy with myself for finally teaching play dead. Deniki has just mastered a roll over he used to always get stuck. And at dinner tonight he learnt to bow and to jump into my arms Henry is a little slower and just likes to bark at me
  22. I would just put it up. Don't see how its any different to putting anything else down Like a tabe, or a dog kennel etc.
  23. I wish we had someone like you in our local area.
