That's odd...the wombat poo in Tassie is square, just over an inch in diameter & is placed in neat little piles on top of things & it is pale brown. here too, and it's kind of square as well, like yours. The colour probably depends on what they're eating. They should all be squares, its a wombat thing, to stop it rolling off when they put it on top of things for their scent marking. Had a class at uni about it yesterday Stackable IKEA poos

oh dear  thanks for the laugh!

He is a cavalier BC Crazy- not double coated, but he still has a very thick coat :) The mesh is good here in Brisbane on its own mostly, in the cold weather we had recently i just put another jacket over the top for him. kept him happy! I do think they work as well.
-
I have one of the mesh ones for Hen, and when it is cold her wears a second over the top, but thats not too often in brisbane :) the mesh means it can be used in summer as well.

Thanks Denali - I thought it would be a tricky one to guess from a written description. Can just hope for the best I suppose. Good idea to see a vet with physio background Yes, hopefully nothing too nasty!
-
Hard to know without seeing the dog itself as these could be ruled out easily by watching it. But it could be a range of things, Hip dysplasia, an inner ear issue, back issue, degenerative myelopathy. Would recommend a physio type vet as well :) But it sounds like my old GSD who had HD..
-
I thankfully only had to do it once, as all other dogs I've ever found have had id tags on. I phoned all the local vets, to lodge him as found and to see if any owners had called, then the council and RSPCA. Checked the lost and found things on fb. I took him to the vet i work at to be scanned for a chip, he had one, but the phone number was disconnected. So he stayed at work for two nights and a day, the owner contacted us- their house sitter let the dog out and they were overseas, then came and stayed with me for a few days until they were back. If the owner hadn't contacted us the vet holds them there, then rehouse after a period of time.

Not sure if it's much help as I feed raw to the dogs now, but still feed the earth born range to my cats and they have never looked better on any other food. Plus they love it!
