  1. I love watching puppies play with things like this. And ball pits
  2. Mine all eat in a row next to each other, and don't take a second look at any of the bowls until each dog is finished, then they all swap to lick them clean, its quite funny! They will leave each others bones and kongs alone too. I am however aware this isn't ridiculously common. Maybe worth just seeing how your two go with a kong each while you are present? If there are no issues you are probably ok to leave them with a kong in different areas. When i am feeding out of a wobbler i put them in different rooms, they have a wobbler or treat ball each, otherwise the one doing all the work never gets the food as the other two just gobble it up before the worker gets a chance to
  3. These are pretty good as the writingwont scratch off- http://www.oze-id.com.au but not readable from a distance nor ridiculously attractive A few different shapes available
  4. I would if it was just overnight, if I left in the evening and returned for the morning. They'd be happy enough just sleeping. But any other length of time I have a few people who also have cavs that take them for the day/night or just walk them to break up their day a bit.
  5. I bought them a bed, it was justa cheap hessian covered foam feeling thing, but they love it! The day i brought it home it was met with rolling, digging and just sheer joy at dragging their belly's across it  And i bought Deniki a few small tennis balls- they are so hard to find and so expensive for what they are! if anyone has any suggestions where to buy these i would be grateful.
  6. was also going to suggest a halo Perse :) you beat me to it! I too feel the prosthetic is uneccessary. I doubt it would offer much protection. Maybe something to raise with your vet though
  7. Great to hear I look forward to more photos!
  8. I have seen that video before. SO gorgeous!
  9. I still come in here! I still havent found my camera cord I will buy a new one, but am off overseas on tues so am a bit pressed for time. That is an amazing photo! And your daughter is gorgeous. I also don't know which i prefer, each has different elements about it that make it different and amazing.
  10. Such a cool charity- good on her :) And a very handsome photo of Mac! She is so cute! I have very much grown to like westies. I never did, as every one i had met in the past was simply crazy- but really just very untrained and out of control. Since meeting a couple, one of which belongs to my friend i have grown to like them as a breed. If i were to get a terrier they would be my pick!
  11. hopefully he is back to smelling lovely in no time!
  12. Definitely not. We have one at agility who can certainly jump :D
  13. the vet i work at charges $73.90 :) $30 for a re-visit. ETA: this can be for 15 mon, or for an hour. No extra charge for time. We also give out scripts to the chemist if human drugs are available cheaper. And if many in house tests are done, the consult fee is usually waived.
  14. I had no idea! Thanks DC- you learn something new every day
  15. The heartguard chew is a good one to start with as it can safely be given to dogs and pups of an unknown heartworm histroy (ie. you dont need to test prior to starting.) Then once the pack is done you would be able to use whichever one suits you best.
  16. I have been asking this myself for a long time now.
  17. that is horrible. My dogs are left outside when i am not home. Which isnt really that often. But this makes me want to lock them indoors.
  18. I wouldn't simply because the science behind Nutriscan still hasn't been released as a scientific publication yet. The website says they are preparing the data for that to happen, well I would wait for that to happen and be peer reviewed. LOL right, so instead of using a test created by the worlds leading animal scientist....do an elimination diet incorrectly like most people do. Or you could do it correctly? I don't think wanting scientific backup provided before undertaking an expensive test is such a bad thing? Agree with Steph. I would like to know also. if its as accurate as those "what breed is my mutt" DNA tests then i would personally steer clear It is $300, still takes 2-3 weeks for a result and thats not including the time it takes to post a kit here and back. And an elimination diet does not have to be done incorrectly.
  19. It helps a little. But no. If you keep a bowl of water wish dishwashing detergent in it its easy to dump the fleas in while brusing and they cant get back out again :) Comfortis and flea bombing the house was the only thing that got rid of my flea issue. Can she have capstar? Kills all the adult fleas. if so, maybe do that then flea bomb the house. Here are some other flea products to check with your vet. I am not sure whether these ingredients are safe for her or not. Sentinel: Milbemycin Oxime, Praziquantel, Luferenon Nexgaurd: Afoxolaner Activyl: indoxacarb Bravecto: fluralaner, belongs to the isoxazoline group
