New "dibs" Dog Food With Fish Oil & Turmeric
denali replied to snoopy69's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I saw no difference in the others, but within 4 days Henry was much more spritely! -
Oh my gosh. I am so sorry Kirty. Everything here is crossed and sending healing vibes. Hope the next update is a bit better. That was my thought too but possibly not.

she's so clever! Love it. Eta: All i could think of was the Taco ad
-
So a Facebook ad dutifully notified me that today the 26th is National Dog Day! So we celebrated with a lovely walk and a swim in the creek as here in Brisbane it seems summer is back again. This is the current households dogs! My 3, my sisters, and my foster. Keeps us on our toes for sure :)

Levels of kong wobbler are: beginner: nothing but food intermediate: with a large tennis ball inside. advanced: full of scrunched up paper inside Try those! Eta: should have read the other responses

i don't think someone that idiotic should be handling sharp instruments.. At least she was concerned though

I thought this was going to be a post about shitty haircuts  And i was going to say that everyone has to start somewhere. But no, this is entirely different. But i will also say that i started dog grooming because an experienced and recommended groomer did this to my dog, and i saw her hit my dog with the dryer hose when i came to pick him up.. And he was the most placid cavalier, I called his previous groomer to ask if she ever had issues and she said that she'd had none at all. So its not necessarily inexperience, they could just be a terrible human. I started like you did, apprenticing. Was a bather for a long time, then moved on to the pre bath hygiene clips, then to feet trimming etc. Working my way up to a full groom. It took a long time, but it was worth it in the end :)

Excellent to hear Willowlane! -
Excellent!

If it's a CAR chip, you're aware that you can ask for the authorised implanter/original chip purchaser's details? I'm sure you're all over it, it's just that CAR don't generally tell you that they can supply that info...you have to ask for it. :) I have found a few owners that way. :D Yes, they can be very sneasky  Unfortunately they were no help either. We did end up finding his owner as a vet further away gets him brought in frequently and knew the owners number.. I helped them fill out an update details form then and there!

My Henry doesn't answer to his name, like, ever. however he responds to "Fatboy" almost always but i love my now skinny, previously fat boy Deniki has about 20 names incl. neek, neeki, cheeka, nugget, sneaker, baby, and my fave "Cheeka Gonzalez"...

Yes, totally forgot about this! Thanks Dame Aussie. We get them occasionally at the clinic, but not often enough that i thought to post it!

If you put it into pet address, link above, it will show you which it is registered with BundyBurger :) ETA: link : http://www.petaddress.com.au/

Sounds a bit like mine. I just wanted to update my address, not even change of ownership and its taking forever! That and Deniki is listed as - and direct copy from the page- :D

After an exhausting 5 hour shift at work trying to find the owners of a lost staffy whos microchip was a dead end, all i wanted to remind everyone is please check your pets microchips and make sure everything is up to date! He has not yet found his owner, will be spending the night at the clinic. You can check your details here: http://www.petaddress.com.au/ Or failing that, make them wear a collar with a contact number :) Though the microchip has a benefit of proving the dog is owned by you, a lady on facebook faced an awful situation monday when she took her dog that she had for a year (bought off gumtree) to the vet to be microchipped. Turns out he was already, so the vets held him assuming he was stolen, despite her showing facebook messages about his purchase and the bank withdrawal of his sale amount. When the vet called the old owner then said she never sold him. It was a debacle! But the police intervened and did transfer his ownership into new owners name as the facebook messages proved enough and the original owner changed her story.. very dodgy!

My dogs have all had their names before they came home, some before they were born, and so far they all suit perfectly :)

New "dibs" Dog Food With Fish Oil & Turmeric
denali replied to snoopy69's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Where do you buy your turmeric from? I've been looking into making some GP for ours, particularly the old guys and my girl with seizures. I'm just not sure of the cheapest place to source the turmeric from. I bought mine from augustine approved, but many people buy it online from country park herbs - its a horse herb store mainly :) -
i just LOVE his colouring! Such a handsome fellow.
-
If thats a regular & permanent price..then you are doing well...could you give me the link please. If I could get it that cheap on a regular basis I might start giving it to my old girl again..not that she needs it, just as a preventative (help). I found it good myself...I used to sprinkle the powder on my cereal. :) Stefmar sell it for $69 and I'm sure I've seen it cheaper than that. The lowest i could find on ebay was $67.50 for the 500g- with free shipping

Love those Maddog! Week 30- its out of focus, but i love it, so am sharing anyway :D
-
I love unique names, my dogs have been/are Anzac, Kokoda and Deniki (themed too :D ) My favourite of your suggestions is Hektor, i also like Zeuss :)
-
http://dublindog.com...-style-no-stink :D *shakes fist at the DOL enabler* So pretty aren't they! Although the website was super slow to load so found them elsewhere. :D They are. I need something like it for Kokoda, he is such a working spaniel despite his tiny size. He is so at home wreaking havoc in the wilderness and making a mess. The others are all princesses

My sisters little cav pup has a tiny neck, and he has a lupine collar that fits very nicely :)

I buy mine on etsy :) Love some of their collars.
