  1. Not going for walks being dragged by the neck around the block isnt the same as being indoors all day. Depends on where you live your set up and the breed as to whether or not its an issue. My pugs are happier playing with me in the backyard than going for a walk. They prefer the interactive play to walking. So, no. Not all dogs need daily walks! Regular interaction, stimulation and excercise, but not necessarily walks.
  2. They won't do anything until at least 30 days has passed. I contacted them when mine seemed lost after 24 days, but it turned up on day 25  Their response was: While we understand that you are anxious to get your package, international orders shipped via the post office can take up to 30 days to arrive at their destination address. The post office does not guarantee the delivery times they advertise, they are guidelines. Please also keep in mind that packages can be further delayed by your country’s Customs Department for inspection. Then they went on to say to contact them if it wasn't recieved by 30 days and they would send a replacement.
  3. Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you mean. All in all, Jasper is a good boy and listens to and does what is asked of him, so I am at a loss to understand what privileges you may be referring to. When I catch him starting to lift a leg, which is not that often, he is told no and he stops immediately. I am not always there so I can't stop him 100% of the time. I'd restrict his access to the rooms unless you are there to watch him, so you CAN stop him 100% of the time. Open plan living. Crate, or leash.

  5. It's not somewhere I'd ever take my dogs. It's not supervised well enough, nor would I like my dog to be a setting where people take their unsocialised dogs to be socialised!
  6. Max is scared of newspapers and magazines, because when she was a puppy and obsessed with eating newspapers and magazines, she was up trying to paw at them on a table to get it off, but the magazines came crashing down next to her. Poor puppy, abused by a stack of scary magazines when all she wanted to do was eat them
  7. Oh, that's sad. Is there anything anyone can do to help you keep going, or is it beyond that?
  8. Drummoyne Vets now stock BH, which means Balmain Vet probably do too.
  9. When I do it and get that look, I just look back at them and say "Payback - how do you like it then?" - then they just leave the room... *sigh* (and mine aren't anywhere as nasty as theirs...) As soon as someone farts in this house, both my pugs rush over and start trying to dig at the area, as though trying to find out where the noise or smell came from and trying to get it. If you're laying down, you will have two pugs digging furiously at your crotch. It's hilarious and disturbing at the same time!
  10. One of Max's favourite toys is the toy box. She will often tip all the toys out and drag the toy box around, jumping in and out of it, growling at it
  11. I got a few of these from Cleanrun and both dogs LOVE them Same here! I think they put some form of puppy crack in them, because Max is OBSESSED
  12. It's not defamation if you can prove the accusations are true... Ok so would a vet bill for a dogs face being ripped open, Doctors report for a dog bite and a set of nasty emails about not knowing you stuff about dog behaviour when you just honestly wrote you had reservations be enough to aviod defamation? I'm not a lawyer - but if carefully worded your claims to stick to the things you had proof of, yes it probably would be.
  13. He looks so sad sitting in his crate. His tail, which is normally tight and curly (like a coffee scroll on his back  ), is all straight and undone. My Naturopath suggested giving him some Vitamin B to help to lift his mood Little guy probably just feels rotten after the operation. Give him lots of cuddles and love. I probably wouldn't give him any vit B personally, you don't really want him upand bouncing around. It's sort of natures way of making him take it easy and heal.
  14. But how can you concentrate on the business at hand if you are playing ball :D Max does take the oppurtunity of you not being able to run away by bringing you a toy to play tug with
  15. Yep, I'm confused :D lol my head hurts just trying to figure out why the OP even needed to waste the letters on their keyboard.
  16. Sooooo glad I ordered my crackle balls yesterday! My guys would be devo'd if they'd missed out on extra crack!balls.
  17. No, but there is new stuff on free shipping (lots of food though, which is pointless for us) but a lot more training things for those interested, and thundershirts.
  18. Boston, my pug, insists on inspecting the contents of the bowl and being present for the flushing process. Sometimes he stands up and looks into the bowl (when no one has used the toilet) and then looks up at me with this "make it flush mum!" look on his face, so I make it flush for him, just because it makes him so happy. I think my little man is going to grow up to be a plumber :D
  19. Poor puggy :/ Most pugs can't wear cones of shame anyway, due to their neck being chunky and the same/similar sized to their head, so they just slip them off.
  20. The first thing you need to know is that you should be contacting a state canine control, rather than the ANKC, about any breach of ethics. But I'm with Steve here. There are plenty of pedigree dogs that don't grace the show ring - where's the breach in advertising a stud?? None. Dog is being advertised to similar breeds for breeding. It's not illegal to breed your dog, or advertise your dog as availble for breeding :)
  21. I like it with the tail because it looks like he's wagging his tail and being happy

It's worded weirdly, but they could just mean pups on limited register - ie: not for show (so not mains registered).
