I'm so sorry Huski.

I don't think it's infected T, just gross!

Yes it is, but we use it in conjunction with other drugs (we premed with methadone or temgesic, ace, and atropine). :)

Vets at work agreed most likely sebaceous. :)

Shar Pei have very straight back legs so I imagine that would put them at greater risk.

Highly Palatable Kibble Suggestions?

I didn't know that, thanks. :) I order mine through work though and our supplier won't do that. -
This is some of the pus...

Last week I noticed Champa had a small lump on his front leg. It was about 3/4 the size of a pea. It was firm, mobile, contained to the skin layer. I was cutting nails tonight and realised the lump had more than doubled in size - now about twice as big as a pea. I put a 22g needle in it but was unable to suck anything out. So I widened the hole and squeezed the lump... A whole heap of black/grey chunky pus came out!! There was no smell and he didn't seem too bothered by it but OMG I have never seen anything like it!! I flushed the empty hole with betadine and wrapped it to stop it refilling. Any ideas what it would be? I googled black pus and it came up with a band lol. So gross!!

I've tried Black Hawk, no go unfortunately. -
Getting sick of wasting expensive dry food because Jolie refuses to eat it! Can anyone suggest some highly palatable kibble that a fussy dog might like? ETA Jolie is a 3yo entite female Italian Greyhound. She gets RMB and chicken frames as well as kibble.

Valium is our preferred choice for anxious/stressed dogs. Ace is another commonly used drug but it can make them zonked, but still anxious
-
The dose range is quite broad so 5mg should be fine. It can affect different dogs in different ways so if 5mg is too much, try giving half a tablet. ETA: Dose is 0.5-2mg per kg.

A breeder in Vic imported a red lab a few years back, I'm not sure who it was sorry.

Pet Shops, Dog Breeders Irate At Cost Of Plan To Stop Puppy Farms
*kirty* replied to Steph M's topic in In The News
This legislation won't stop BYB, so yes there still will be crossbred and cheaper puppies. It will just stop these disgusting puppy farms. -
Four Corners: Greyhound Racing: Live Baiting Revelations
*kirty* replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
I don't know if I want Greyhound racing banned. I do want it to be much more regulated. I don't know how that will work. Greyhounds love to race. If the sport can be managed with animal welfare as priority then I have no problem with it. -
Hazy, that is Sam. He broke his leg when he was 5mths old and was going to be PTS. He came here and was adopted by a lovely couple. He was so gorgeous.
