Does anyone have any hints for where to get really large ceramic bowls? Was thinking for a water bowl, might be cooler than a bucket but seems impossible. Might look at a big sealed pot with no drainage hole!

He's gorgeous! Send him to Melbourne for a cuddling too!!

Can we post some down? I will happily have a look around here. We always have lots of fleecies floating about, I shouldn't have any, It isn't a good look for me. -
Should have started at 20, worked down to 9. Might have had a better chance!

Fergus!!!! I love the old man names, I have a huge list of them.

We're just calling it a dry run, one of our cats was not amused when the dogs first started visiting, so I put our hands up to babysit thinking it might bring him round a bit, he's still not impressed, but he comes down out of his cat tree for dinner and to sit on the couch all together, so he's come miles in the space of 2 days. They go back home Wednesday and in a few weeks he will be wishing them back! These two are still bouncy, but different to an exuberant 8wk old puppy.... Plus it's highlighting some kind of routine, I;E where cats are fed/where dogs eat and that clearly we will need a bigger water bowl. Haha. I've already run round the yard and thrown out the snail pellets on the veggies and picked up all the plastic pot plant pots and other tempting not-toys, so really it's good practice.

We just sent off our deposit, we're currently babysitting mum's little fluffies (ages 7 and 5) and what a test run, left them with Brooke today who called me at lunch to say there were stolen cat turds all over the rug. Had to laugh, but I'm not the one with a wad of toilet paper to pick it all up, so I'm allowed!

Also might be worth making a nuisance neighbour complaint to the council and if you knew who it was, her rental agent (presuming she rents)

I adore these!!!

Oh heavens he is so lovely! How you don't cuddle him to bits I'll never know! (Gosh, Game of thrones and free reign of games, wanna take the OH in? :p)
-
My OH is the same  He is a gamer through and through It's handy when you want them out of the way, but the trail of dust he leaves when I say 'Hey, can you load the dishwasher?' is something to behold. Like roadrunner! Alas, I just like the crummy ones. Ans Mario Kart, kick butt at that...

My darling boyfriend is a games developer and his favourite thing is to abandon me for Skyrim/Starcraft/Diablo. His dream would be if I distracted myself that way!

Amen, my friend. I am feeling that one.

Got a clicker and some pee pads today, an anti-bloat bowl for piggy puppies, bedding and crating is the next, then a brush, shampoo and nail clippers etc. That's as far as we've gotten as yet.
-
Awwwwwwwwwww! Excellent name too ;)

Just out of curiosity, what would you guys consider to be pre-puppy arrival essentials? I mean, I have the shoebox of shame under the bed but all that's in that are some toys and books and the 'fun stuff', what else would you say was a total lifesaver through the puppy welcoming stage? Big and small item suggestions welcome!
-
At least if that's the case I'll be justified on the shoebox of new toys and things hidden under the bed....
-
Indie is a total spunk! I think our wait has just been shortened substantially. Fingers crossed!!

Seems slightly odd to do so much 'shopping around' if you weren't looking for the cheapest price? IMO if you've found a reg breeder you get along with, whose dogs you love and vice versa, you're usually going to be getting your moneys worth, whatever that money may be. A vacc is pretty cheap, it does sound odd to me to ask for money off the purchase price for that, and I can see her concerns.
