Death Of A Pet Can Hurt As Much As Loss Of A Relative
Teebs replied to Perry's Mum's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have to say i disagree with that, didnt even read it but as much as i love my animals, the death of any of them has never compared to the death of a relative. -
If you live by that mantra you'd never walk them in public, take them to dog parks, obedience school, vets etc etc. totally agree i find 99% of the dogs that come into work loved and looked after, and while i cant be 100% sure, most of them are vaccinated. the people who dont give a shit about their pets and who cant be bothered spending money on them are not going to bother to bring them into a pet supply store.

And you reckon the 'excess' on the insurance policy for the store would cover a $30 item...? Come off it, it is done in job lots for damaged stock. I have had to return two Kuz's over the past few years that have broken within the space of a mnth. $20 and the shop had no trouble taking them back and replacing them for nothing. Though that might be more an agreement between them and the supplier? lol yep, it would have nothing to do with insurance. The company who makes the product would give the shop the money back, or the shop would just do a refund and run it as a loss.

i manage a pet supply store and wouldnt make someone pay unless it was damaged. It takes about 2 seconds for a shop to get trashed, just because something is on the ground does not mean it is because of lazy staff. I get kids in at work and they throw things around and it takes forever to clean up after them I have had 2 stray dogs steal from us though... they ran in, grabbed some treats and took off. Couldnt help but laugh at that  There are a few shop lifters there but the owners always come back in and pay. Altas is shocking when i go in with him, as we walk out he always grabs something. I find it funny more than anything, dogs will be dogs!

I would report to police. I had the same thing with atlas, it got to the stage I would drive places to walk so I wouldn't be followed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bendigo Man Threatens To Kill Pet Cats If They Wander Into His Yard

I couldn't get hold of my vet at the time, was one I normally wouldn't touch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Im sorry but i agree that the OP is at fault here. I have a dog aggressive dog. I dont muzzle her unless i am going to the vets or somewhere where she has to be in close contact with other dogs. She is on a lead and i keep her away from off lead parks. I always check my leads before going to make sure they are not tearing or damaged. Atlas has a habit of chewing them if i dont hang them up high enough. Who knows why this ones lead broke, but had they not had a dog going off and running around maybe their dog wouldnt have pulled and it wouldnt have broken? I am so sick of doing everything right and people going off at me because their 'friendly' off lead dog doing the wrong thing gets told off my me or her (usually i get in first, dont mind the dog, beware of the owner) I hope this isnt a death sentence for this dog QLD dont have much time for dogs on the restricted breed list... I am sorry your dog got hurt, but if it was me i would know where the blame sits.

Bendigo Man Threatens To Kill Pet Cats If They Wander Into His Yard
Teebs replied to Peace_Of_Mind's topic in In The News
I am not sure if i posted this on here or not when it happened. a Few months ago i was driving home, it was after dark. I drove past a little black cat who was killed on the road, he was still in themiddle of the street. I got home and i couldnt stop thinking of him to turned around, i was going to move him off the road so if the owners came out to find him he wouldnt be squished to the road and they could find him laying on someones front lawn in stead. I drove over and parked and got out and went to grab him He was still alive  He must have been in so much pain, he went nuts and tried to attack me, i managed to get him into my car where he was fitting and screaming. I got him home first and into the bathroom. I run the vets who said to keep an eye on him and see how he goes and bring him in if he got worse. Within about 10 mins he was having massive fits, i tried to snuggle him up but his fitting wouldnt allow it, i was a total mess and rung mum to come get us and drive us to the vets. He fitted again and hit his head on the floor pretty hard. We picked him up with him screaming in pain and rushed him to the vets. They took one look at him and said he had to be PTS So i just want to say to those who think it is ok to have their pets roaming that i hope one day the above does not happen to your cat. I still have nightmares about it and wish i could find the owners and slap them for letting this little one roam. Because of them he suffered a horrifying death. I also wont swerve if i see an animal, i will slow down if possible but wont swerve. As heart breaking as the end may be for that animal, it would be horrible if i ran into another car and killed a person. At least i know my cats (the ones who are unhappy and living horrible lives inside) will never ever have to suffer this way. -
Bendigo Man Threatens To Kill Pet Cats If They Wander Into His Yard

So that make is alright does it, to let your dogs kill another living creature which poses no threat to them? What a charmer. Isn't that what your wandering cat would do to the local wildlife??? ETA at least these dogs are contained on their own property... I have 2 dogs and 4 cats. They all get along amazingly. If another cat came into my yard it would be lucky to get out. My dogs are great with THEIR cats, not others cats. And while it would break my heart for them to kill a cat (has not happened so far) i would not be angry at them for it. My neighbour told me years ago it was good my dogs liked cats as she was getting a new kitten and at least she wont have to stress if it comes into my yard. I told her what i said above, my dogs like their cats and no one elses. And if she got a cat it better stay out of the yard She never got her cat because she is unable to keep it inside. She does come over from time to time and gets her cat fix from my lot. Works well for me! -
I can take it, if you can get it to me. How long are you thinking? I have the spare room puss can stay in, will still be able to hear the dogs and my cats and see the dogs from the window but if you need it i can help for a few weeks

Stitch, was your dog a bull terrier? I have seen many bullies do it it is horrible to watch. I would see how you go, it could just be a thing she does because it is new, but if it keeps going i would be getting someone in to help it stop asal

What Is The Longest Time You've Not Seen Your Dog?
Teebs replied to Lisey's topic in General Dog Discussion
Kaos and the cats 2 weeks and Atlas 1 week I went away for a week for NDTF and took Atlas, on the way home i dropped him at the kennels and went to Melbourne for a week. I didnt pop in to see Kaos as i was worried it would upset her if she saw me and i left again -

Do You Refer To Yourself As Your Dog's Mum/dad?
Teebs replied to RubyStar's topic in General Dog Discussion
nope, the only time i refer to them as being related is when i want to piss mum off and tell them to go and say hello to Nanny, she hates it (and i would hate it if she started calling me their mum!)
