I held a 6 month old bull terrier as he got his wings because he was a spinner, it was heartbreaking, over the course of 3 days he went to a happy puppy, do a dog that had his feet cut open from non stop spinning, he spent 3 nights here, and didnt stop spinning all night :rolleyes:

I would hate for someone to get me a dog as a suprise gift! I have very definite view on what I want in a puppy and have a hectic lifestyle so don't always have time available to devote to a puppy. I have had someone give me a pony as a suprise gift... the day I had convinced my parents to let me start looking for my next horse - the pony was the complete opposite to what I would have gotten myself but there was nothing I could do about it as she was a gift Ditto, I would hate someone to give me a puppy, if they told me what they were doing and let me pick the dog and they paid for it, then that would be ok (or not, no way i would let someone spend that much money on me! ) I told Dad when they no longer have the dog they have now, I will buy him a Bulldog, (they dont want 2 dogs) but I would never do it without his ok, and without him getting to pick the breeder/dog he wanted! And 65 isnt old My parents are almost there, and they are more active than i am!

I just want to say how much I hate these threads. Some people have a lot of trouble spelling, I know I do, and I have been made fun of in 'real life' because of it. Coming in here and seeing everyone making comments on how other people write really gets to me. One of my biggest hates is that I am not the best speller, it makes me feel stupid all the time in real life, and then to come on here and see these types of threads... I know you are all just having a bit of fun, but these threads pop up all the time and they make a lot of people feel like shit because they are not perfect with their typing/spelling/grammar If you do not like the way someone spells a word, how about putting them on ignore instead of making fun of them in a thread like this? Oh, and I don't give a crap if any of the words above are wrong. So don't bother making fun or correcting me if they are.

I have also been using it for years, went off it when they had trouble with the US stuff, but back on it now! Wont feed anything else

Atlas will hump when he gets excited in play with Kaos As a pup he tried to hump me, and i directed him to his bed, now when he is in the mood, he will run off to his crate (I stop it ASAP now with his doodle issues) but nothing I can do if i am not around My friend at school had a bitch who would hump anyone, god she was a pain!

yep. I have turned off the function for being Emails when I get a PM, so they may not get the email I only know I have one when I log onto DOL

oh god, I can not believe it has been a year

I live in a unit, 3 bedrooms, and a small back yard, the amount of toys the dogs lose here is amazing! i have ones I know i had here, and i know they have not been killed... but where are they? I am getting new toys though... new neighbours, kids have so far kicked 5 balls over, dogs are loving them

all the time, i cant have another puppy as both my dogs are dog aggressive - but i get my fix at work, we see a lot of puppies, so i get to play, and send them home

Atlas is a watcher with me, if i am doing something, he is happy to sit down and watch me, if i have visitors over (not including Dad or Rastus Froggy!) once he has said hello, he is happy to sit down and sleep or just watch us with Dad At has to be all over him, Dad does something, At has to help And he is in love with RF and has to be all over her Kaos... well, she has to be in everything, I cant even have a shower without her running in to see what is going on, and wooing at me to hurry up

because i am slack, i only just saw this I know you have one, but i am going to reply I got two mediums, Large will be fine, i just dont have the room here! I have one of mine on tiles, and no problems with it at all, still keeps warm I think the Xlarge is around $120, and they go down from there :thumbsup:

I would go with a Pet Sitter Animals in their own place, wont fret and your house will be checked on every day :rolleyes:

I have a dog aggressive dog, and no, i would never take her off lead with other dogs - My friend has 2 dogs that Kaos is ok with, will go walking next to them, no problems, but i would never allow them off lead together, just in case - I would never forgive myself if another dog was hurt because I was stupid and thought Kaos would be ok.

yes, ask for these things, a good dog walker will have them all ready for you to look at, ring the person on the reference, if someone wasnt sure about one of my references, i would be more than happy for them to ring the person and talk to them take your time, talk to people, I have been pet sitting for years and never had a problem with accessing people's homes

Not sure if it is what you are after, my dogs dont eat it, but pro plan is starting to be made in Australia, the Rep told me last week, only a few bags to start with, but they are hoping by the end of the year to have them all made in Aus I feed Nutro and am so happy to be back on it, dogs do great on it.

Atlas - i was ringing breeders asking about pups, turned out one of the breeders, was married to mums good friend, so i got a pup via him Kaos - rung a breeder i found on DOL to find out about pups, she put me on to a breeder who had a pup, i picked her up a week later I wouldnt go near Atlas' breeder again would be find with Kaos' breeder, but i am eyeing off another breeder in regards to the SBT, and it is going to be years till i get another one, so dont think I will be going via her next time round.

Over the years we have had a Cattle dog, 2 SBTs, a British bulldog, a Aussie Bulldog and a Bull Terrier - all have been fine with cats, both their own, and other peoples cats I have had cats here before the dogs, then introduced new cats into the family. the only problem I have ever had with a cat is Sumo, he would hiss and carry on when the dogs were around and they would chase him, now they all get along very well Atlas and Kaos often go visiting friends with me, and they both get along with every other cat they have met,

Kaos is on the go 50% of the time, i spent the weekend in bed/on the lounge sick, and when i was able to get up and walk around, I found she had had a great time playing! Toys all over the place, hidden in my bed, under my bed, toys dead all over the place Atlas spent the weekend sleeping where ever i was sleeping She will entertain herself, play with the cats, play with her toys, once in a while she will come play with me, but i think she has more fun on her own

how did you get up there? a friend of mine got bogged! and i thought the gates were shut any chance you are going on Wednesday again... *hint, Hint*
