  1. Dear Ness, Look out for one ruffwear lunker arriving at rainbow bridge - its probably already arrived. For whatever reason today I threw it for baby sister whom you never met and it sunk to the bottom of the ocean never to be seen again. All I can think of is it was destined for you. Maybe somebody might throw it for you although I know you would rather an ice cream. Pity it would melt before it arrived. Love your mum
  2. I used a midwest puppy pen with my BC pup while I was at work. It doesn't have the drop down pins though. I do know you can also purchase lids for them though.
  3. Hard to believe 12 months ago today you woke me up at 5:30am to be let out and that was the last time I saw you alive as by the time I got up at 6:30 to walk you before work you were just about gone . Still miss you heaps and lots of tears flowing today.
  4. Powerlegs I am one of these people who mostly uses a dSLR on standard settings and think I manage a pretty high success rate of decent photos including action ones. Your original post doesn't specify if your happy to look at one but the entry level cameras even with kit lens can produce some pretty good shots. I started with a Canon 450d :).
  5. Try messaging Jaime/Primal Paws Leopuppy. She should be able to recommend somebody .
  6. I used Rose Hip Vital Canine with my two and my old BC did brilliantly on it.
  7. Loving the new Freeview ads to they all have Sketch starting as Dougie . Not half biased though since Sketch is Lira's grandmother and well Flynn is Lira's grandfather .
  8. Agree huski/k9pro would be the best people to talk to but you can always start training in drive. My girl started the training in drive course through Steve/K9Pro when she was 3 and we got brilliant drive out of her - more then we thought we might given she is a very nervy dog. I had done stuff with her when she was younger but not the same systematic approach we used with her when she went through K9Pro's program. I have my up and coming youngster who is now 12 months and she hasn't done as much as I would have liked but I am sure if I work through with her then she will be as equally impressive if not better. I don't know if K9Pro are running their online drive package at the moment because its super popular when they do but the program is definitely worth it.
  9. Its been nearly 12 months since Ness went and I still end up in tears on the odd occasion. Hugs westiemum.
  10. Mine are always starving to but their waists don't need any extra. Having said that the youngster won't eat anymore then 300 which is partly why she is on that amount but she gets extras on any day she will tolerate them. It was just getting stupid with her having any more and then only eating every second day.
  11. No hurry up cool change I have bored puppies.
  12. Think they aren't open on Mondays westiemum so might have to call Tuesday.
  13. not only do they do the dirty work they even deliver if needed and saved me a trip out in the heat this past week. Yep the prey packs are awesome. I think they are good value for the convenience factor to. I don't have to worry about doing anything more then defrosting . Especially since they are all balanced to the right ratios and stuff. Its also good because if the dogs like variety I find they get a heap more variety then doing it myself.
  14. I would think closer to 200grms then 300grms as 300 is what my active BCs are on and they are much bigger then a westie . My girls have been having a fair amount of goat in their prey packs westiemum . She customizes them to have whatever the dogs like. ETA. When I was doing my own raw I would also use eggs, tuna and cottage cheese to add to meals. If you need to feed dry you could always try mixing it with something like that to.
  15. My guys are raw fed to - I get prey packs made from Adelaide Dog for them. They have the appropriate ratios of meat and bone so you could always feed the meat in the morning and the bone in the evening. I get a weeks worth and just pull there meals out of the freezer the evening before and defrost over night in the fridge. I tend to do the opposite for my girls they get there bones in the morning and the meat for tea with supplements mixed in.
  16. Think I would get him done. The weather is only going to continue to remain warm and shorter would be much better in this weather.
  17. Never and mainly use black dog gear with mine to.
  18. Have the Aeolus dryer and love it. Use it frequently on my two BCs and for the price its definitely good value for money.
  19. well the electricity meter and water meter reader seem suitably scared they won't even try and enter despite the fact dogs are behind a fence and can't actually get to them .
  20. Catfishers - any dog with a reasonable bark on it is going to keep people away if thats what you want. Even more so if they can't see the dog and they can only hear it. Even my overly friendly BCs can make enough noise at night to keep people away from the yard if needed. I live alone and feel perfectly safe with my 2 BCs.
  21. Given the other owner was no where near close to the dog when it attacked and given the previous history I am suspecting he has gone into defensive mode. I only told it like it happened and even to the extent of emphasizing the damage was more likely due to the body mass of the dog rather than a bite wound although I said the physio found evidence of fluid pockets/bruising over the area where the dog made contact which was evidence of bite contact. The guy would have been a good 75m or so from where the dog actually made contact. Happy to get a stat dec signed and he doesn't know my occupation either . The only pity is if the council had been able to act a little sooner I may have been able to locate a witness but now school has finished for the year not going to happen.
  22. I don't know what they are saying - hopefully the Ranger investigating things will follow up tomorrow. He was sick today so I only spoke with the person who is in charge of all of them and she offered that as an explanation as to why I hadn't heard anything yet.
  23. sounds like somebody is denying the attack ever happened. Don't know exactly what is going on but regardless it doesn't change my very lame dog .
  24. Thistle that sucks. I hate the fact you can't keep people away from public space. I just drove to the school to walk the dogs since its finally got a bit cooler only to turn up to the street which leads to the school and find the man with the staffie just about to enter the school grounds. I drove my girls home as I wasn't about to risk if he decided to let it off a lead.
  25. Not just one leg thats bad in her case Snook and thats part of the issue . Now the only "good" leg which has had no issues to date is now the worst leg.
