Entire cats are prone to it, desexing usually nips it in the bud. Do desexed dogs get it? I used Malaseb on the cats.

OMG, I would definitely be calling head office of that company, your call will no doubt save lives!! That's terrible that sales staff have had no training about the POISONS they are selling. -
Not necessarily. I have a thing about ears and Esme is simply a pet. Some people like their dogs to be the best example of the breed they can be.

Permoxin binds instantly to the dogs coat so unless you spray it directly on your cat it's fine. If using Advantix cats should not be allowed to groom or snuggle up with the dog for 24 hours as it doesn't instantly bind. I accidently put a large breed dose on my cat some time back, he only just scraped through and is now slightly brain damaged. Completely my fault as I should have double checked the vial. You would think with one being so toxic to cats that the vial between Advantage and Advantix could be completely different rather than exactly the same. The Emergency Vet said it happens alot in multiple houses. I still continue to treat my three dogs with Advantix fortnightly and also use Permoxin. -
So that's why Esme's stick up

Yeh, I learnt that the hard way Was too lazy to do it and now have crazy ears.

My Stafford went through the same thing when she was teething and even a little beyond. Cute pup too btw

Worms / Maggots Found In Lenards Chicken

Please contact the health department!! -
What growth? The dog is already 3 years old, depending on the breed the cheeks may slim down a little giving the appearance of a longer nose, but that is it. Unless the dog is a giant breed and still has some chest development to go it's really not going to make a difference especially to a bitza which has no standard to reach anyway.

Same, Esme is just reaching the end of her first season.

Geez I can't remember exactly. I think it was 4-6 days (the soft food that is). Mildreds huffing got worse before it got better. I guess from the swelling. The difference in her after about 1-2 weeks was amazing!! Mildred really roared just from moving a metre. The bulldog vet said she'd never seen anything like it, lol.

No I Did Have An Appointment Booked In For Today
Clyde replied to OhMarley's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I've had a few people not turn up and then get upset when I let them know they can't get back in til March Then they say they'll call back then and I try to explain by then I will be booked out too. Moral of the story is not to miss your appointment As much as clients can sometimes let me down I still feel blessed that as a single Mum I can earn good money and work from home. I'll never take that for granted. -
I have had lots of pups/dogs, none have ever pee'd at night more than once.. and I have never used a crate. Lots of people have housetrained pups without crates. I realise that, my current pup is the first dog I have ever used a crate on too. It was because the OP sounded as though she actually wanted one by saying "Unfortunately I haven't got a crate to crate to train my 8 week old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel." It's not unfortunate if it's her choice
-
Why don't you just get her a crate? If it's $, you could get a compost holder from Bunnos ($20) and fill half of it up with stuff to make it the size of a small crate. Last I looked you could get crates though for about $50 online. Good investment

Vomitted And Behaving A Bit Weird
Clyde replied to Baby Dragon's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Probably not, but I bet the OP doesn't lick her genitals and cock her leg to pee either. My dogs will eat meat which has sat out for days. If the cats are saying no I would chuck it. In in doubt, I always chuck. It's just not worth the risk. -
Sneezing And Had A Tick On Her Muzzle
Clyde replied to Gerda the Schnauzer's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
It'll be fine. I pluck them off all the time. Watch her for up to 5 days after tick removal as they can still have adverse effects as the toxin is still in their system. No exercise etc. No need to really worry unless the tick is engorged. My indoor cat had one last month, it must have come from me or one of the dogs. Little suckers are everywhere! I pulled one off my thigh a couple of weeks ago and got a huge welt and bruising. The area is still discoloured and numb. -
Just quickly, however it is my understanding that the citronella is a constant aversion as the smell sits on the dog coat, so therefore IMO quiet cruel. I looked in to this for someone elses dog and a DOL'er pointed this out which makes perfect sense. K9 Force has a variety of collars on his site plus articles for you to read. I like the look of the air jet stream ones as once the correction is given there is nothing else left behind. Friends have recently gotten one which vibrates too.

I'm not a photographer so don't understand the lingo or techniques but I like it too. Although as I like things structured I also think it would look better with his head not chopped. I love the light across his shoulder and the dimple in his chin. He's a very 'pretty' boy. It's also caught wisps of hair, I like that the hair isn't overly neat. I think it's lovely.
-
No, it's bull. Go back and tell the twat I said so  It is dangerous for cats though. Highly toxic but still fine to use on dogs if you have cats, it binds instantly to the skin.
-
As a skin shampoo it takes 7 minutes to start acting and has reached full effect at ten. Although after ten it doesn't do anything, so ten minutes is the optimum time to leave on if using as a medicated shampoo. eta: What about the actual cause of the infections? I have a little dog once who was prone but since switching his diet from supermarket tins to BARF patties no more ear problems (or facial staining of any kind).
-
I do! I've always pre mixed and used at a later date. It's never occurred to me to do otherwise. Now I'm wondering if I should stop? For what it's worth, it still works for yeasty ears as a pre mix.

Bloss, it would be more along the lines that they don't actually make that product. As Georgie Boy just pointed out Virbac make Kiltix, so call Virbac. Hence why Preventic isn't used with Advantix, but Kiltix is. I'm sorry I confused you by getting it wrong. Call Virbac tomorrow
