I have just bought an air tight pet food bin. I've already ordered another as Im so pleased with it. Could your local pet barn type place order some in for you? I've bought a Medium and it holds 15kg of food. It's called a Rubbermaid Scoop n' Store Pet Food Storage. It comes with a large scoop and was quite cheap too. Very neutral bluey-grey colour.

Dr Max Zuber. Can't recommend him highly enough. After the cruciate repair we went back for a couple of trigger point therapy sessions and good as new! He is at Gladesville Vet, they have a web site and a bio on him there.

Ouch! I wish these breeds didn't attract such unsavoury types.

I've lost a few clients already One lost a puppy which was bought to replace a dog which died from a tick last summer. My cat Trevor was rushed to the vet with a tick over the weekend, thankfully he's home now after treatment. I pulled a tick from Neville the cat this morning, one from Esme the Stafford at lunch and just found one on the back of my neck half hour ago

There is no way I would leave treat toys in a yard with two bull breeds! The OP's dogs aren't seperated while out, they got the second pup to tire out the first one so seperating them makes defies the purpose of two dogs. My 6 month old pup is pretty bad still. She's no longer allowed in the yard unsupervised so instead she eats the brick walls of my courtyard when I'm out She has all the toys in the world, on a rotating basis, and she stills prefers the walls. I try to see the positives. At least she's not trashing the yard, the wall can easily be re rendered Although compared to some bull breed handiwork she's an angel. Treat toys have their place, but I would not ever leave them for my dogs unsupervised. The 6month old is proving quite food protective.

My Short Coated Puppy Has Dandruff Would Fish Oil Help?
Clyde replied to kelly's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Eagle Pack food. Another vote for Aloveen Shampoo and LEAVE IN conditioner are fab! The dog doesnt have to be washed to use the conditioner, it's nice as an in between deoderisor and moisturiser. Works a treat for dandruffy coats! -
It is.

Puppies often urinate when they're excited or a more submissive pup, most grow out of it. Is she weeing when excited or does wee just dribble out whenever? It could be a UTI if it is frequent weeing too. As for the bunny hopping I would definitely be checking that out, but I would go to a vet familiar with the breed. Whereabouts are you and perhaps someone could recommend one for you? Have you discussed the bunny hopping with the pups breeder? If it was a small breed my first thought would be a luxating patella but I am not sure of the prevelance of this with the large breeds. Has she always done this or is it from a injury that you know of? BTW it's Dogue, rather than Douge She's very, very cute. I hope the problems are easily fixed!!

Is she having to eat from a bowl on the ground? I had a pup once who got heartburn unless her bowl was raised or I had fed her. She stopped eating and for days we did tests etc and it turned out to be that simple. She eventually grew out of it. Hope it's nothing serious.

I've just got a garden statue at my steps, my neighbours use a pot plant as their marker.

Couldn't she sleep with you? She's still a baby and for the first time in her short life is without her Mum and brothers and sisters. I'd howl and scream too if I was her Everyone has their own way of doing things and the breeder may have recommended putting her seperate at night but it's certainly not going to 'damage' her in any way if she can sleep with her new 'pack'. You'll find she'll probably sleep the whole night through and even in to the morning.

Sucked in, you got a Husky :D That's says it all

Yep, she's a nutter alright.... a little body basher. I can't believe she's not broken yet. I love those types of helping hands

Can your dogs not eat bones? Bones aren't the be all and end all of teeth cleaning. I have found teeth brushing more effective in keeping build up at bay. I have also had dogs who were regularly fed bones however still got horrible build up.

I'm on dial up atm so will have a look later today. I just saw the other pics of your dogs and am officially in love. Will see if I can coax Esme in on the weekend (after I cut her nails right back :D )

That's so true Persephone. I've got a 5 month old Stafford and a 3 yr old child and it's been a rough ride. Thankfully the pup is super smart even though the poor thing has been receiving mixed signals. I cant even do training with my 3yo at home as she then goes to try to copy me and the pup just gets confused. In a perfect world there's consistency between owners, kids and dogs but here sometimes it's bedlam. I've put a lot of work in to the pup though and that is paying off, at last. I think the key Samador is to not ever compare. It sounds as though you were very lucky with JP as a pup as most pups are hard work. I wouldn't go near a Lab pup with a ten foot pole, so don't ask me why I got a Stafford

I've got a chlorinated inground pool and have tried for years to convince my Rotti to swim I'm determined to get the Stafford in there this summer. Any tips for getting them to want to go in? The Rotti is ball mad and even his fave ball being chucked in won't do it. He runs round and round the pool though which is good exercise in itself

OMG! She's a freakin dog - she doesn't know what's natural & what's not! Do you care if she gets ovarian cancer? Who in their right mind would want a dog still coming into heat even though it's desexed. Talk about crazy! -WithEverythingIAm Wow Good on you for researching your options Aussie3. I am going through the same process myself with my pup.

That's so awfully sad I feel for you with what you are going through, you can't blame yourself you weren't to know, I'm sure it would have been quick. Kudos to your breeder. Again I'm so sorry.

White Poo And Other Questions?
Clyde replied to Garden Girl's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
We love white poos here Usually after bones my guys do them, they would just blow away in the wind if I left them. You will find most BARF'ers dogs tend to do whiter poos. -
Oh my God, that's awful Sez Hugs to you and your parents.

Dont let anything get to you or you'll end up a bitter old prune It's just giving a dog a hair cut, not a life saving medical procedure. I get alot of that too, I dont understand it but I just comply and don't care. It's their dog, they can do what they want. I get it alot for Poodles and some Westies. Very strange. Another one is people buying designers and want their dog to look a pure bred I get quite a few Schnoodles and the owners like as close to a Schnauzer cut as possible, looks ridiculous IMO. One of my regular Schnoodle owners called yesterday to say they brought a Schnauzer Although she's from a pet shop. At least they got half the message

Its also worse this time of year because its so close to christmas. Everyone wants their dogs looking nice this time of the year. Nah, that happens at Christmas, not October. Everyone rings up the week before needing their dog done on the 24th. Talk about last minute preparations for the dog

I've just bought one of these. Anyone else tried them? I haven't installed it yet but the idea is to keep the dogs off my garden beds. I've just read Ernys post in another thread that they (electronic collar systems) shouldnt be used on dogs under 6 months. One of my dogs was born 3rd May this year. She's a Stafford but she is also very sensitive so now I am worried about using it  It was 700 bucks so I'm thinking maybe I rushed in to this decision. Any thoughts? Would the lowest zap be okay? The training process takes about 2 weeks according to the manual.

Thank you, Will grab both of these today
