  1. A few of my clients swear by Mitey Fresh Tick repeller discs. They're sensible people living in a tick area and the discs have been very sucessful for them. I bought one to try but kept using Permoxin aswell as, I didn't trust the disc on it's own I can't remember their exact name but if you google Mitey Fresh products you'll find it. What about using Proban if your dog has allergies?
  2. I have an all breeds book here you can borrow, or otherwise it is about $100 to buy new (actually think I have a spare floating around you can have, will have a look). However I recommend looking in to Melissa Verplanks books Theory Of Five and Notes from the Grooming Table aswell.
  3. George lobs it out in the one spot (thank you George!) and then runs away quickly when he's finished. Just in case it's going to chase him I have had dogs who like to spread it out, sniff, have another go, spread it out etc. I guess they all have their poo idiosyncrasies. :p
  4. Okay. Thanks for that
  5. Just wanted to tell you to keep your chin up and don't stress about the small stuff :D I remember being a single mum with a tiny one and the dogs stressed me out as I worried about them so much. Just concentrate on you and get better!!
  6. You can trim it if it's bothering him or you think the foot needs more air, but unless he's slipping around and it's excessive I would just leave it.
  7. Vickie's friend will be here in the morning :D
  8. Wow Vickie! That's so nice of you Will PM you.
  9. Terrey Hills (past St Ives, near Frenchs Forest). Thanks anyway guys.
  10. My neutered Rotti does this (done at age 2 though). Marks every tree, marks where other dogs have marked, wee's in his bowl and other bowls after every meal , scratches up the grass after he's wee'd on the lawn etc etc. Seeing as I have other dogs here all the time George's marking is constant. He even wee's on Esme sometimes but he is not a dominant dog. I just thank dog that he is reliable indoors.
  11. Any groomers/dog washers/trainees or someone competent with hydrobaths and dryers want a few hours work tomorrow? I've been sick and off work since Saturday but cant cancel tomorrow and dont think I'll manage on my own.
  12. Could you just display the price list on here?
  13. Sorry Westiemum I just stumbled across them one day when doing some research for my friends Springer who also suffers chronic ear infections. I was pretty amazed but it makes sense. I just googled Dog Ear Dryer then and a few came up.
  14. You can buy ear dryers for dogs. Maybe this might help somewhat??
  15. I don't see any Mastiff in him at all, if he was Mastiff he wouldn't be weighing so little at the moment. He does look like a lot of AmStaff/Staff X Ridgeys I've seen, very pretty colour! That should drop your weight estimate by about 50+ kilos I agree with Laffi, I'd aim for around 25kgs.
  16. Could be a torn cruciate? I would definitely take her, even if just for pain relief and peace of mind.
  17. Kick a warm, sleepy puppy outside at 4-5 in the morning in winter? Another vote for a crate beside your bed. I have a 13 week old here who, since 9 weeks old has slept right through (from 10.30pm-8am onwards).
  18. I've been offered a second hand Ezycoat stand dryer as I was about to buy a Simpson. I like the Simpsons as the nozzle if easily and quickly moved with a nudge of my hand. Just wondering if there's any dryers gurus who understand the techno stuff. I dont know the Simpson specs, but here is the Ezy coat page for the stand dryer http://www.ezycoat.com.au/ezy_standdryers.htm Which is the better dryer, any thoughts/advice please?
  19. But you can't move the blasted thing around!! I'm ready to kick my bloody Beacon to the kerb
  20. Pyohex. Dermcare recommend Pyohex for ringworm. FTPO - thousands of people think ringworm is a worm, so you're not a knob :p Easy enough mistake to make. The knob is the person who decided to call the lesion a ringworm in the first place!
  21. I haven't read through all of this so my apologies if this has already been mentioned, however I noticed the other day that the people who I buy my Eagle Pack and both BARFS from (the Canine Country and Dr B's) sell Orijen. www.petdeli.com.au . I haven't tried it yet (on the dogs) as I'm really happy with how mine are doing on Eagle Pack, will come back and read peoples opinions some time soon.
  22. Awww, what a sweet face! I love Roger too. Reminds me of the Schmackos ad Roggger ROGGGERRRRRR ;)
  23. Ooo Georgie would love chasing something! Is it fairly controlled? ie- one dog running at a time?
