as if i would get an ugly white bully! Has to be a coloured!

Im tossing up between the Bully, a Rottie, French Bulldog and British Bulldog. I know, different breeds, i have had experience with the Brits. KNow a lady who has a litter of Frenchies due next year and also know a wonderful Rottie breeder whos dogs i LOVE (have known her and her dogs for 9 years) who will be having a litter in 18 months - 2 years.

Frenchie or British Bull dog

1. Because they are fatties

2. because they have cute squished faces

3. so you can compare baby rolls with spud

4. Because they can grunt and its cute

5. they are cute?

I know, I know, Teebs. I feel your pain. I really, really want 10 tibbies, too. :)

Whenever I suggest a 'herd' of tibbies I get an eye roll from the other half.........and from the JRT ; p

Is it your first baby? If so, I say don't get a puppy. I think subsequent babies are generally easier, plus you are on maternity leave to spend time with a pup and new babies sleep a lot anyway. I've got five children, all under 6 and the more I had the better at juggling I got.

I dontt have kids buti think taking on a bully pup when you are expecting your first bub is taking a gamble. If you have a lovely settled baby it would be ok, but if you have a unsettled baby it could be hell. It's a risk.

There's always going to be other pups.

Best advice would be to wait until after baby has arrived, and you have your bearings back... then if you want to add to your brood, go for it...

I lost Jake less than 2 weeks before Luke was born, our new puppy is 3 weeks old and Luke will be 2 on October 15th. I have been desperate for a CAO pup but fate has intervened and to be honest I do not think I could have committed to having a baby (my 2nd child, my other son is 10 on Wed) and a pup that requires a lot of training/socialisation. Each to their own but you have been ill with morning sickness, grieving for your loss and are starting a new family, each of them on their own is a huge change in your life. Saying that I am getting 2 or 3 new horses and a puppy in a 2 week period soon :laugh:

Luke has also never slept a full night since he was born - puppy - baby - sleep deprivation = grey hair and IBS
