Dr Harry's Comments At Adelaide Pet Expo

Dr. Harry in the early days was a well respected and fondly regarded personality. Sadly he is now an embarrassing out of date celebrity vet who's a little beyond it and has lost the plot.

IMO he sold out to commercialism many years ago. I agree with Leah82 that he is probably being paid for his opinions and is in need of the money.

The sad part is that those who are not dog knowledgeable may believe his ridiculous, inaccurate statements.

I agree with that.

Those who do not know 'will' believe him.

Not going to swear. But a certain person with gardening skills used to espouse designer dogs.

I had an terrible battle to convince two friends not to go there.

Public are easily lead astray

I remember he actually visited and interviewed a sydney rescue in a big smiley supportive clip for whatever show he was on at the time so being paid to do stuff is just part of marketing. Pity he has no committed beliefs that aren't for sale because people do actually listen to him.

I too would like to see a video... I work in a pet store and the amount of people who come in asking for products DR Harry has recommended believing his word is gospel is a LOT. Which wouldn't bother me if his brands were all decent, but people asking for 'The Dr Harry brand food' because he tells them it's brilliant is tough one. (That's Supercoat, for those wondering). People BELIEVE what this guy says.

My dogs eat Supercoat... but not because Dr Harry claims things about it...

According to the Oscars Law Facebook page he said:

• Don't adopt rescue dogs because you don't know what problems you're inheriting

• Support PIAA approved pet shops because they sell healthy puppies

• Staffies are part Pit Bull and therefore cannot be trusted with children

Hmnn... Highly suspicious. Bet he's being paid by someone - PIAA maybe?? icon_smile_mad.gif
