I've broken my drop. Think it was the drop to sit for open COP that did it. Someone thinks a hover drop means they can sit back up quicker!

From events over the weekend it is obvious that it is a 'happy' squeak. So she can go for her life. I was very happy to hear the squeak return.

I find giving the dog a bath helps the most. I think that something from the plant sticks on the dog.
-
What a massive achievement Janba! Congratulations

The girls look happier today. They are both running around. Sleeping inside seems to be a hit too.

Amber is crated because I don't trust her and Poppy is sleeping on her bed. Amber looveesss the crate and Poppy likes space so both are happy.

I've got a dog with a rash from this at the moment. It never really bothered any of the others. I did see her actually rub her head right in it though.

I love Shadows Run wine. I have a couple of empty bottles on display.

Feeling fairly crap as I sure you can all imagine. The girls are still quiet but I did get squeaked at by Poppy when I got home today and Amber managed a woohoo. A friend took me to get the car steam cleaned. Was very hard getting back in the car. I really appreciate all your kind thoughts.

Nice. My old girl Fern still did the most beautiful focused heeling at 15yo. And loved every second of her short turn.

Marley seemed pretty normal to me. Pretty much every lab and goldie that comes into my puppy class acts the same way. I am surprised when they don't! The last class I nearly had a lab pull me over and I was braced pretty well (was doing a restrained recall). The film and I assume the book seemed to skip the middle aged years though and I guess Marley settled down in those years.

I hope your puppy recovers carneage. I don't think that carneage needs to be given grief about her terminology or dogs weight right now.

Slept ok as my medicine normally knocks me out. Can't eat. The girls are quiet and sad looking. It is starting to get windy here which would normally have had Brock running around the garden, the girls would then practice their herding skills on him, lots of stalking and flanking. When the wind picked up they ran up to the lawn and looked confused and walked back down to their beds.

God I feel like shit. Not helping is the fact that it was Brock that normally cheered me up. He was such a joyful dog that you couldn't help but smile when you looked at him. Seeing me sitting here upset would normally have had him at the window, licking the glass and wagging his tail.

Sorry to sort of go technical, but it's important that people know that Multiguard is definitely NOT non-toxic. It supposedly tastes bitter, so not as appetising as the others, but if enough is ingested it can most definitely be fatal. Yes I know of a pup that died. Use beer people if you feel the need to kill snails..

cats can be pretty perceptive . They even let me pick them up.

Even the cats are being smoochy.

I think she was barking to tell me that Brock needed help.

Jules, my heart goes out to you. Poor Brock. Mrs RB's got a good point. I'm paranoid about what the birds transport into our garden. I'm forever collecting great lumps of all sorts of things that they've dropped. The vet thought he might have eaten a critter too. What can you do about that though? Or birds dropping stuff? I am a bit too remote for someone to have done it deliberately. The dogs don't bark so no one would be pissed off with them.. That is why I got up last night because it was so unusual that one of them was barking so much.

A dog school friend has called and is going to tell people for me. Brock was the sort of dog that had lots of friends.
-
I used Pine o clean stuff.
-
Going for alcohol. Another joy of being single you have to clean the car up yourself. I think I got it all but am really worried that one of the girls might lick some and get sick. Would steam cleaning work?
-
He thought it was snail bait last night.
-
Thank you for all your thoughts. It was definitely bait of some kind. Lots of bright green vomit in my car. The girls are quiet but ok. To be expected I guess. I couldn't find anything in the garden. I had been thinking about keeping them all in at night, so am blaming myself big time. I keep looking out the window expecting to see him at the window licking the glass.

I've only lost pets to old age before. And they have been really old. Moss at 15, Fern at 15 and Panther (cat) at 19. And none of them were sudden. I can't believe he has gone. I was going to take him to the market today, his favorite thing to do as he got lots of pats there.
