  1. ...the product can be different http://www.nobivac.ca/nobivac-canine-vaccines.asp ...e.g. Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPPv vs. Nobivac® Canine 3-DAPv (if we talk about the C3 shot)....but who wants to know really :) ? The standard C3 vaccine is effective for at least 3 years. No need to pay more for some fancy relabelled C3. You kind of have to if you want a certificate, unless the vet is willing to sign one for the yearly one for 3 years. None of my vets have wanted to.
  2. Photos of snow on Mt Donna Buang have just popped up on facebook :)
  3. Stand with your back against the fence when you call him so he can't run past :)
  4. The K9+ crates have insulation in the roof too. I've never found them to get hot inside but I wouldn't have the dogs out in stinking hot weather either.
  5. Everyone is going to tell you different food and then other people are going to come in and say that food is crap. And a bunch of people are going to say don't feed kibble EVER.
  6. I must try and remember to warn kennels about Amber's poo! She is supposed to have runny poo but that might concern them. Agree about the single protein.
  7. Are you starting to feel anxious about it? The dog could be picking up on this. Try singing!
  8. I've lost the border collies a couple of times...and then I turn around and they are sitting right behind me
  9. Is your dog good? It is hard for anyone to argue with you when your dog is working well :)
  10. If a handler is going lots of jerking then they are doing it wrong. They aren't correctly properly the first time. Physically placing a dog in a position should also not cause any distress to the animal. What you are describing is bad training. To go some where with a different training philosophy is going to take a fair bit of back bone. If you are in any way sensitive don't go. I personally wouldn't train at a club that has such a different philosophy to me. It is bad enough when there are elements you don't want to do.
  11. Unless you particularly have a burning desire to take on and try and fix a problem dog - return her to the breeder.
  12. In the first post the OP states that it was an sporting oval that is an allowed off-leash area. So it was off-leash but not a closed in dog park.
  13. Stitches came out today and she seems to be back to normal! :D Thanks to everyone for your support!
  14. I just can't believe he is 11yo
  15. You need to show him photos of poodles not in a show clip :) Does anyone have any to show?
  16. Fairly sure dogs are included in property settlement. No idea who the judge would award the dog to in this case. Did they do a council registration?
  17. Amber is going well now thanks. :)
  18. Have you tried giving the breed club of the dogs you are interested in a call? That has been my starting point each time I've wanted a pup.
  19. Yeah you always want that first wee, poo, drink and eat. I don't tend to relax until it does. She is still being quite weird about being out in the garden. No real idea why and just wants to come back inside. It is a nice day now. She is not normally in the house either during the day. I'll take her back to the park tomorrow and we can all totter around slowly, sit on the bench etc.
  20. Bit of a dodgy photo but she must be feeling more comfortable if she wants to sleep like this!
  21. aloe vera gel ? does that help ? or calendula tea? Have cream from the vet.
  22. She has some clipper rash and is really having a tizzy about that.
  23. Had a bit of a stressful day yesterday. I hadn't seen Amber poo since her operation and she did a massive vomit yesterday so I freaked out a bit. She still seemed fairly bright. Vets couldn't find anything wrong. Took her to her fav park on a long line today and she finally pooed.
