Was there something else in the cow paddock? There appeared to be a red object. A fox? Hard to tell with the quality of the video.

Yep. He deserves the fines. Idiot.

hm, you might consider bow hunting then...to reduce the repairs for he car :) Mate I've got a fourby with a bull bar. Does the trick.

Blood oath I feed roadkill. I like mine real fresh though so I like to run the buggers over myself so I know I've got me a fresh one.

Agreed, but no more so than the supervisor and so-called workmates. If there was any degree of teamwork in the situation they would as a group have insisted on the dog being contained. But of course if it is a relatively wealthy client the contractor will not risk getting them off-side. As for the other workers, this disgusts me in so many Australian work-places. Cruelty to apprentices is rife and very well documented. Practical jokes in the work-place are also rife, so funny to laugh at someone elses' discomfort or fear or downright danger. OHS has been a huge benefit here, but the culture still supports bullying which can take many forms. Even just not being there to support but turning the back is as clear as overt bullying. Sure the owners are stupid - but that's not where the blame totally lies - it should have been sorted to begin with, not allowed to escalate like this. How do you know that the workmates and supervisor are turning a blind eye etc? Ellz's son is a big tall rugby player. I doubt he is squealing when the dog is humping him or attempting to bite. The workmates might not even know there is a problem. Ellz son needs to tell his boss if there is a problem.

This has me a little confused....if the dog was bred by a backyard breeder, then how could it be registered I wouldn't have thought it was that unusual. Bitch is bred by non-registered breeder owner and the puppies are registered under the prefix of the person that bred the bitch. Perhaps some breeders terms were also included.

If he is wanting to mark on the same spots some cleaning with bio-zet or similar might help. Glad you have little white dogs back in your life!

Puppy Refusing To Eat But Seen Vet Give Ok
JulesP replied to steppenwolfstaffords's topic in Puppy Chat
How long have you had the puppy for? Since Wednesday? -
This is the music I tested. I just played lots of the samples. http://throughadogsear.com/samples/

I've tested out the soothing music before and it did seem to have a positive effect. It certainly sent me to sleep!

The owner should be charged with assault. I thought that could happen now or is that only in Victoria? What a brave brother.

So sorry Madwoofer RIP beautiful Fleming

You are looking at about 200 calories in a cup of rice. So that is a far bit. I would also look at the 2x4s in the morning. Maybe only give one.

I don't have a dog with pancreatitis but do have one with a liver condition and wanted to share my thoughts about the prescription diets. I was a total dog food snob. I was horrified when I had to feed the Hills Prescription food and also thought the ingredients were just nasty. However that food has now helped keep my dog alive for 5 years longer than the vets gave her! I learnt from this to feed the food that the dog needs even if it isn't what I think is good. Good luck with your dog.

It was a warmer night last night. Both of mine were sleeping on the floor not on their beds, which they do when they are hot. Maybe she was just hot?

Try having a sable border collie. Everyone asks what she is. Most people think she is gorgeous so it doesn't bother me too much. Have had some people think she is red. One guy said 'what a lovely tri', getting closer I guess.

Are the dogs closely related? If they aren't then I would say something environmental has happened.

As she is older I would be checking her heart and seeing if she has ascites. That can interfere with their breathing.

Liver Shunt Diagnosis And Vet Recommendation
JulesP replied to digitalwingx's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Yes the outside shunts are easier to close. What breed is your dog? You can use either Hills L/D or Royal Canin Hepatic. And the tinned Hills L/D. And you also need to watch treats etc. No bones! -
Liver Shunt Diagnosis And Vet Recommendation
JulesP replied to digitalwingx's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I have a dog with a liver shunt. The CT is a better option but is much more expensive as sometimes an ultrasound will not pick up the shunt/shunts. I went for the Ultrasound and the shunts were picked up on that. Scintigraphy is more invasive. I went to Melbourne Specialists - http://www.melbvet.com.au/ They weren't cheap. The vet I saw is now at Advanced Vetcare so they might be an option. They aren't as pricey as Melbvet. https://advancedvetcare.com.au/ At 7 months my dog really didn't show any symptoms. She was a bit small and a bit fussy with food. She didn't get sick until she was nearly 1yo. Just to prepare you sometimes the dog can not be operated on. My dog had multiple shunts and couldn't be operated on. I've managed the condition medically. -
OMG. You poor thing. I am so sorry. Massive hugs.

The residents in my shire are supposed to do the policing. We are supposed to hire traps and trap the roaming kitties. The Council said when the law came out that they weren't going to be driving around catching cats. Interestingly I am seeing more cats out on the street again now. There were none for ages.
-
Interesting to see what my council would do in this situation as in my shire cats have to be contained to their own property 24/7.

I found this place that does custom doors and large doors (not sure if their large is large enough!) http://www.purrfectpetdoors.net/glass-door-installation/
