You know Sarah and Andy too well! Its interesting - when I was living there, the tenants next door had been there four or five months and didn't know I had dogs. They said they'd never heard them - not once. Also described my border collies! The lazy sods don't self exercise. They are either snoozing or staring at me so I exercise them. Andy is snoozing beneath my desk, snoring his head off and Sarah (aka Her Ladyship!) is in the Orvis Lounge bed. It appears she won this morning's bed battle! Poppy is trying to guilt me into walking them by sitting in the rain!

you see some amazing things, a friend bred show guinea pigs and dwarf rabbits, they had the run of the backyard and were guarded by her rottie from the neighbourhood cats. never forget the first time I saw the arrangement. massive rottie asleep on the grass and nestled like a litter of puppies were her brood of bunnies and guinea pigs sleeping between her legs with her. Makes sense as I believe Rotties originally had a tending type herding role.

This wasn't being enjoyed and nipping was happening. The Birmans didn't care and just rolled over on to their backs. They did it with the ponies too (with a fence separating them!) and the ponies did seem to enjoy it as they would stand next to the fence.

Trying to get her to move.

I've seen my border collies do this. Before anyone has hysterics I rescued the critters when I realised what they were doing! I watched one of them carry the critter (rat) into the middle of the garden. He then poked it with his nose until it ran. Caught it and carried it back into the middle of the garden. My 2 current girls decided to do this to one of the cats. I've got a photo of them in action, I'll try and find it. I rehomed the cat as I was concerned for her safety. Have also seen them playing with possums like this.

Wonder if he has an allergy to the stitches.

Maybe because there isn't anything to debate? Everyone realises it is just dumb. There is a lot of activity on my FB page. Maybe it is just dumb but so are the politicians voting on it so sitting back doing nothing is only going to see this bill introduced. Then who is dumb? I don't think people are sitting back, I was simply giving an explanation of why it isn't a mega hot topic on here. Which is what you asked. Although there have been at least 3 threads on it. No one is arguing for it and therefore the thread isn't 'hot'.

The complete ingredients list for anyone interested: Beef meal, ground wholegrain wheat, natural yoghurt, fats and oils (derived from beef), salt, vitamins and minerals (including vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 B5, B6, B9, B12, D3, E, H, K3), natural preservatives (including citric acid, buffered white distilled vinegar, white distilled vinegar) and herbal antioxidants (including amorphous silicon dioxide, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, vegetable oil, natural mixed tocopherols, rosemary extract, green tea extract and spearmint extract).

From what I can see of the listed ingredients, there's not much there to keep the mixture together as it goes through the extruder to form the kibble. I'm pretty sure it would just crumble into dust with the ratios given.. Doesn't Australia follow the convention of listing ingredients in the order of quantity? I don't see how you could formulate (or feed) a kibble that had more salt than wholegrain cereals and cereal by-products. Yes on the bag. This info is all from their website.

But if salt content is only 1%, and grains are listed after salt, that means they're saying that the product contains less than 1% grains. Which sounds like all sorts of bullshit when there are no other filler ingredients at all. Also, if you take a look at the nutritional composition, it doesn't match the ingredient list at all. If your product was almost entirely meat, it'd be more than 23% protein. In fact, 23% sounds pretty unimpressive. As an example, ToTW is 32% protein and contains plenty of fillers. That is a list form their website not from a bag. I have no idea what the law is with listing ingredients on a website.

The inventor has done a load of research it seems - http://www.standard.net.au/story/740028/more-to-dog-food-than-cans/ He even applied for patents.

Yes it is the same/similar formula as Yogurt Plus.

Not sure what you are talking about. These are the ingredients on the website: Meat and meat by products (derived from beef), fats and oils (derived from beef), pre and probiotic formulation, salt, vitamins and minerals, preservatives and antioxidants, wholegrain cereals and cereal by-products.

I thought the same thing from the heading but reading the website more I realised it is a bad title. It is about changing the legislation to exclude 'registered' breeders from the classification of puppy millers. Apparently, currently anyone with more than 5 dogs are considered a breeder/puppy miller and must have kennels etc - thereby forcing registered breeders to use outside runs etc. This group wants VIC Dogs registered breeders to be exempt and be allowed to breed without the kennels requirement. I guess the breeders currently using runs etc are already covered and don't need any special exclusions. I think that is what it means but am happy to be corrected. The issue is that the bill wants all dog breeders, even those with only one bitch, to be registered as a Domestic Animals Business. The problem with that is actually getting the council to hand over the registry in the first place and then the fact that councils require certain conditions for the keeping of the dogs (kennels). And the registration can be expensive to get.

My spacer is not much bigger than my puffer and my puffer fits inside it.
-
I wasn't. I thought they were just for kids. Wasn't until I used one at the Drs office that I realised how good they were. No Dr had told me to get one!

Do you have one of those spacer things? I found that was heaps better in getting the medicine into my lungs.
