  7. Your puppy is still a puppy ! he needs to explore and enjoy new surroundings ..and until he does every trick/obeys every command perfectly at home/at obedience school ..you cannot, in all fairness expect him to do it at someone's place , where there are things his instinct tells him to do :) Visiting is not for obedience perfection - if you expect this - you are setting puppy up to fail Why not, when you go visiting .. teach him stuff like "go play" /"have Fun"/Free Time :) ..USE WORDS for things he does - he WILL learn them ;) Chasing leaves is good for him, and fun :) I try to watch, and then use words to suit actions , like: Go run ..good puppy Drink, Drink ...good puppy Go sniff!...good puppy Say hello!.... Good puppy :) Inside, or Outside ...good puppy When puppy does lie down , or come to you BY HIMSELF - HEAPS of praise/treats for that too .... You may enjoy reading these articles :) l - LINK LINK
  8. lookit that little angel - helps by finding her own entertainment & all !
  9. Sars- consider your anxiety levels if/when you put your dogs in another room .... The extra worry may not help you ...esp if you can't hear them .. if you can , get allergy tested , and update your asthma meds first ? I know folks whose asthma worsens with their anxiety ...we have a lot of asthma in our family tree Do your dogs lick you ? It is most often the proteins in saliva which people are sensitive to ..not the hair itself ... How do you wash/handle their bowls etc ? It's a beast of a thing, asthma , - make sure your GP is very thorough , and doesn't just fob you off with a new puffer or something ...

I have an image /dream of an older me, & a cat (that is non negotiable) & a smallish , bright dog I've/we've owned lots of dogs- from mini foxies to Rotties /worked closely with a good selection , including the beautiful and sensuous whippets, the large and interesting Bouviers and the solid, dependable labs .... there's only two which are often in my mind. Chinese crested Frenchies ..once, in my previous life I was * * this close to owning one .... dear Poppy , with her smiling little face ... That's all .

  18. is this it here Jules? it does say Biogestion in the description http://eastdist.com....t-beef-rice-4kg and also here https://marxgrocer.c...dogs-dry-foods/ and here also http://salce.com.au/...15e3fd203323325 edited as I can't spel Yep, thanks. I guess there will still be bags of it around. None of my local places had it which is why I emailed them. She is having the Nourish at the moment which comes in a small bag. I was hoping to get the 4kg Biogestion instead. Has been the first dry food that she has actually eaten. Don't know if it is the size of the kibble or the fact it is softer. She normally just spits kibble out. Right now she is a normal weight and doesn't even feel boney I think de-sexing agreed with her :p That's good news! :)
  19. I remember the vet telling me one thing which has remained in my brain. With malassezia .. always make sure the anal area gets cleaned/treated regularly, as the anus is one of the sources. When dogs curl up esp. ...then lick feet, they transfer nasties that way ... So backsides & between toes are important areas to treat/keep dry :)
  20. yep :) the mini goodo's even get the geriatrics here looking like they've seen the fountain of youth! I like 'em because they don't go off , are easy to carry and handle ... :)
