So glad she is now being treated and is home - -
THIS GUIDE may also be of help. The main thing to remember though, is if there is NO PEDIGREE - the pups could bebadly bred - they may not even be the breed you are seeking - they may be a mixture! A legal pedigree provides proof of ancestry . Make SURE the breeder is aware of genetic problems and has done veterinary tests to screen the parents. Ask to see the results.

Dog on Macrolone 20mg - side effects??

Hope all goes well with the vets -
Oh Dear My advice would be to feed fresh raw meat ..with some cooked veg, an egg every couple of days , and some plain yoghurt and a doggy probiotic pill. For treats, anything without colourings etc ! Dried fish /beef liver- that sort of thing . nice meaty bones, too for chewing and fun There are as many ways of feeding dogs as there are types of dogs!

Dog on Macrolone 20mg - side effects??
persephone replied to MidnightBlue43's topic in General Dog Discussion
That is something to ask your vet. A steroid (or any medication) is prescribed for a set time for a reason . What we can see on the outside does not tell the whole story of what's happening inside. Please take her back to the vet for a check up to be sure you are thinking along the right path . -

Well done for having it checked out -
Your vet will have explained this to you - and if you haven't taken your dogs to a vet , please do so..coccidia is treated with prescription drugs. The vet will also most likeley give information on how to stop dogs eating their own droppings. the best thing I can tell you is to pick up immediately! Also make sure dogs get plenty of things to do to help break the habit .....

Elderly friends of mine have had chis for years - perfect little dogs for them!! Social, settled (spoilt) not barky..... as for the bitey bit LOL When working at the vets my worst bite was from a chi I was cuddling for a procedure - he got me on the nose!! LOL Blood everywhere- but no stitches needed (LOTS of laughs though)I've never been allowed to forget the "dear little Chi" -
