Oh :) I like that .

Most headcollars work the same .. it is the pressure on top of the muzzle which stops a dog stretching his neck/head and forging ahead ...also pressure on the neck immediately behind the skull . In essence - the handler can have a hold of the dog's head in a firm grip - which can definitely make a dog submit and settle ... i just wasn't sure of the engineering behind this one :)

I just hope he is allowed to have Brooklyn back with him

if you can visibly count all her ribs , and see her spine - she needs help . if she has a waistline, is shiny and active - that's GREAT :) Can you post a photo on here , maybe ?

That gadget looks as tho it still exerts pressure on the muzzle ... Is there video of it being use anywhere ? I don't really understand the mechanics of it at this stage ...

there was an earlier thread on this . General consensus was, from memory , that it is more comfortable and less hassle to just leave the socket empty ... If he has both removed - perhaps j ust get him used to wearing a very trendy pair of cute doggles, or a halo when you're out & about :) perfect!!

I love seeing her dogs in amongst it all .., and yes, they do provide a very sweet service .

Instinct is what makes predators kill - simple . it is a natural behaviour . Most people have forgotten that dogs/cats are PREDATORS . It is up the human owners to manage situations as best they can if they do not want to see their pets kill things . Cats and dogs need to have behaviour modified/controlled by keeping enclosed etc . I applaud Scottie on his recall :) :) that is a great effort..and IS certainly to be proud of.
