  1. and , it is not the same as a human bleeding 'period' at all... with dogs it is their peak time ..their fertile/ovulation time ... just to confuse your friend's boyfriend even more :p
  2. ..and the sweat from their pads, and the little marking urinations they need to do.....and the odd hairs which detach and fall, carrying scent .......and the wagging tail , swishing scent around ...
  3. would you be able to video a few behaviours? The excitement , the pacing/running in circles ... and the body language when barking?
  4. so ..you now have 4 shihtzus in a crate ??? be VERY VERY aware they may get agitated and fight
  5. nic B .. please don't try & kill it ... your nerves are frayed enough , and dealing with snakes is best done when cool calm and collected ..... there is too much at risk . Breathe , and just observe where it goes for now ...the more you try & side track it , the more defensive it will feel... Please be careful.
  6. I also think snake is just trying to come 'home' ..and would have been living there some time. <br style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 18px; background-color: rgb(238, 242, 247);"> plus you guys have been away with your dad, etc .. and now you're back, snake is all confused/upset. RBB are one of my favourites, being so slow to defensive behaviour ......wish we had more of them instead of browns .. That said .. snakes & dogs & humans sharing a home is not good at all , and I so hope you can get some help without injury to anyone .).incl the RBB who has been keeping your property vermin free ) .
  7. does she really need crating at night at this age ? Can she not be trusted to sleep on a bed ..or suitably protected piece of human furniture?
  8. I think it's a multi dog household now, zeebie ....
  9. , perhaps..to those in the grooming industry - IF there is another rule/protocol drawn up ..perhaps it could be "Buddy's Protocol" or whatever?
  10. Watching .... Hmmm it's not really fair to let the boy/s get all eager and try mounting in the first place , IMO . if it were my household , they would be separated .. I know they are desexed, but also be aware , she ,and they , could well urine mark, too!! *thank goodness for secure runs , and also for desexing!!* :)
  11. desexed males CAN mate AND tie with a bitch ...and for a maiden bitch ..this could be a very upsetting experience , as well as teaching the boy a habit you may regret later on be careful..keep her separated ....
  12. Just do NOT walk her anywhere from your house ..she will be leaving a trail !! also..walks - ON LEAD only for the next few weeks will need to be somewhere there are NO other dogs , or bitches... it is very unfair to have an in season bitch around other entire dogs not your own. The swelling should increase ..then decrease over that third week ... check your yard .. sometimes an in season bitches' hormones will tell her to go find a mate ..and give her the energy and skills needed to leap tall buildings with a single bound!!!
  13. ..and the last of the mango yoghurt clinging to the container ;)
  14. I suggest speaking with the folks at McDowell Herbal . They can probably make up a mixture for her .....
  15. A few rabbit furry feet , (all the cats left !) , toast crusts, an apple, 1/2 a tomato , some grated cheese ..and will have kibble for dinner at bed time.
  16. loving all these images --all so different! here are a couple of mine ... the 'trough' :) Country Town
  17. This sort of thing could solve some of your problems .. :) LINK LINK I bought one similar some years ago for a friend and it worked well .
  18. The bacteria will just grow like mental in hot/humid conditions Hope it hasn't got worse by morning....
