..it's an awful situation ..however, when dealing with any living thing ..including bacteria , unforseen things do happen. Most surgical intervention works ..and with little disruption to the functioning of the dog ..sometimes, a dog's immune system will not respond , sometimes tissue breaks down, sometimes tissue reacts to being 'assaulted...and sometimes vets do not have the skills It is nothing like working with a car in many ways .. metal/rubber/oil/steel all behave in absolutely a set way ..if X is done, then Y happens. Carparts do not grow, or bleed...there are no infection which change the performance....

I am also an expert in expressing my dislike of dressed up dogs ... but sometimes , if the hat fits ...a court jester just has to have his trademark! :)

get her to drink ...chicken soup (no salt or onion) , lactose free milk, egg flips .... :) ..also make sure clover gets a bit of exercise... eg: don't place feed/water bowls alongside her ..let her get up & stretch her legs .. this will help puppies too..as they will have a good wriggle :)

Best to investigate everything , so you can then work on the precise problem :) many years ago we had a rottie pup who bit when picked up ..training didn't help. She was active and happy otherwise . Xrays showed Hip dysplasia and an improperly healed shoulder fracture .

ASAP. this is not something which can be adequately handled on an internet forum, unfortunately ....you need a professional to meet all of you , and then work on exactly what's happening, at home, with you. hopefully you are near perth ..
