  1. Chief sounds as if he needs to channel all that energy ..like most kids ! Teaching him manners & tricks will help , bigtime~ using his brain this way will satisfy a lot of his need for reward/excitement. A few very short training sessions each day help both of you learn to communicate well ..it's amazing what you learn from your pup doing this :D You might also find that these help :) LINK LINK
  2. Which indicates she is not really fine. Why won't the vet do a prog. test? You are the one paying .. so theoretically if you request any sort of test, they should oblige :) Such a drastic change in behaviour is a bit odd ....
  3. Awww little puppy tongues and round bellies to tickle, and those brand new pink pawpads ... Gorgeous!!!
  4. I've been 'pro' for years ..... it's your decision :) I only ever upload low res images , so do not use it for storage .
  5. Skye sounds very settled .. if/when another pup/dog comes into the house-hold this could change dramatically Consider that .... she will have a playmate- someone who may decide to get up to mischief .....
  6. Yesterday .. after the funeral, I wandered around the little town for a while . As it was 45 degrees.. not far! This deserted old Bank Building caught my eye . I do not 'do' buildings much ..but enjoyed having a play with this image . It's not supposed to look like any particualr effect ..it's merely what happened . :)
  7. That seems odd ....... has she been vet checked properly?
  8. ..and Chief should not be allowed to show such bad manners in someone else's home. It is your responsibilty to have control of what your pup does. if he is reliable using your voice...then that's great . if not, he needs to be on a lead, or seperated by baby gates/closed doors. It's a little like taking a toddler to someone's home, and letting the kid open drawers, and run through the house screaming
  9. poor old girl. I hope whatever the decision it takes away your worry. For whom?
  10. I took this one today ..it's a bit different :) Titled "Ant"
  11. :)..and who gave in to cute puppy eyes a few months ago , and let her get away with things? Huh? :) What training do you do with her each day? Do you have a yard ? Maybe she can be let out of her crate and have some yard time while you get up?Give her breakfast in a kong, or an old soft drink bottle ..let her take out her excitement on that! I also suggest you practise " Nothing In Life Is Free" :) LINK HERE
  12. I am lovin' this thread :) here is one I got earlier .. a little flower spider- just waiting...
  13. Oh, poor old dear. if she were mine, and I could work it out ..I would try for a brace , weight reduction and painkillers/acupuncture..which may help with her arthritis too ?
  14. Not sure what work she is doing ... but might I suggest you ease off , and see if her appetite improves? She may feel that any more to carry is very uncomfortable .... We have working sheepdogs..and often when they are working they eat very little for days on end..esp.when it's hot . I would imagine a belly full of puppies might amplify that feeling?
  15. My guess is that they need to metabolize chemicals that actually damage/kill other living beings. Small doses , yes , however the chemicals are still 'poisons' and need to be processed by the liver & other organs, plus stored in bodyfat or wherever. ..and this a biological fact ... Using these is Your choice , though, and I guess you are aware of how your system is dealing with it all . :)
