  1. with the flea comb..comb the dog from front to back in sections, and you will catch any flea that is on him .Better than just using chemicals "in case"
  2. If my dog did that I would bath him and not use that product again chemicals can cause allergies or reactions, even in tiny amounts.
  3. Could be something else, but sounds suspiciously like a fleabite or three .
  4. Yes, he looks very much at one with life...and with such a smooth gait!( and green frisbee) lol
  5. That would have been terrifying . No question. That poor man .
  6. I find this odd, but much more comfortable, and the dog's behaviour much more natural than the poor things with hind limbs only. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=3776024569106286&id=217293018312810

  8. "Not a rock star" love it!! Thanks for the update .
  9. No ... they are sight hounds, with high prey drives - bred to chase fast moving smaller animals . The muzzles are to stop them using their jaws on some fast moving small fluffy ...
  10. I know that pattern ! he will continue to lick ..cos they itch/hurt . He's not trying to sneak ...he can't help it .
  11. My first thought was some sort of seizure .... but I have no qualifications to back that up . thanks for the videos ....
  12. I'm going to suggest he wear boots when outside get some decent, well fitted ones ..not just rubbery ones which will sweat . If his feet do not have as much contact with grass .. theoretically , the inflammation should settle . the other point is that he may just be a compulsive licker/chewer when home alone . is he alone while you're at work ? Do you see him go for his feet at any particular times ? ..or does he not bother ?
  13. you are a committed and experienced dog person ...and know both the breed, and what is needed . That is what makes it work for her
  14. Hard to tell just from that Infection is more likely to produce pain, swelling, redness, smell, yucky discharge...dog not feeling 100%. More saliva can be produced if there's a delicious scent around, or if dog is a bit warmer than usual....
  15. Because the birds living along the river where we are often leave carcasses lying around, or fishermen throw away the carp which are not allowed to be returned to the water
  16. Pudden rolls in all sorts...dead fish are a favourite.
  17. How satisfying for you, and how life changing for all your pups.
  18. Oh Lordy ... the exquisite delight taken rolling in human waste , then? !!!!!!
  19. Just thinking.... as Dad isn't yet convinced, as your cats, and children haven't had to live with a dog ..what about applying to be foster parents to rescue/shelter dogs - short term, perhaps? That way you have the support of the shelter, are doing a fantastic service, helping a dog, and deciding if a dog will fit in your household It's a big decision ...what can I offer a pup/dog , and which pup/dog best suits what I DO have to offer ? we have a list of breeds with their particulars /notes on their needs, and suitability for families, first time owners etc , if you click HERE
