Rebanne has explained it very well . Your poor dog is still basically in 'puppy rearing mode ' ... her body doesn't yet realise her life has changed. Everything has been quick ..and she hasn't caught up please do not let her free run for some time . ...she doesn't 'need' it , if she is on a long line , and also gets plenty of nice long walks where she can sniff This way the bond between you can be strengthened , training is made easier , and she can adjust to her new situation more safely and smoothly . She doesn't 'need' to play with every dog she sees, either. YOU should be her main playmates now ..and some dogs you know and trust ...in a safe environment for a while . It would be awful if a fight was started because of her confused behaviours It IS rude behaviour ..for dogs and other owners ..and is your responsibility to control in case she gets in trouble

yes. You are It is just so very easy , once you know the way I have ...and so have others here, given probably hundreds /thousands of pills this way with NOT ONE choking incident promise!
-
Bunny-hopping may also signal a luxating patella ... not a hip problem . Supplements will not be of assistance here .
-
That's how all ours get pills ( modified according to size ) LOL Wouldn't do it any other way . It's fast, sure and easy ... takes someone to show you the correct way ..and off you go!!

Leg braces for senior dogs

the people HERE or HERE may be able to advise you . -
I have always used a muzzle ..a soft , open basket-type .. so they can still drink , bark, pant ...Mind you my dogs have not been left alone with stitches in .
-
Hmmm.. onesies . the fabric may catch on stitch ends and pull ..irritating the wound .... make sure the garment is not tight fitting . Probably unsuitable to leave on an unsupervised pup , too much to chew etc .

Dogs adjust to the prevention collars OK ..humans - not so good :P

This is a surprisingly common occurrence .... They cannot /would not associate the two .....eating the cloth, and pain on toileting ;)

..and do some more googling, and you find this ;) -
Dags in his nice new hi-vis collar from K9 pro !! Not often I buy new things ..these were on sale ..yayyy!! I also bought a new 'longline' as my other one has finally unravelled and become unusable it lasted years!! Bought it from a DOler . the new gear is made of Syn Tek ..my first experience with said product ... so we shall see. I DO like the fact that it does not attract prickles/dirt/moisture (Snaphooks are on all collars . It means a dog can quickly be secured with reasonable safety almost anywhere ..on a jeans belt loop, a fence wire, a piece of twine..even a tree root ..and still have a swivel to turn with. )

Spring Fertilising - length of time to keep dog away
persephone replied to jacksonr's topic in General Dog Discussion
I wouldn't trust him left alone . not yet. Blood & bone can be deadly ..plus, yes, it can lead to LOTS of digging. -
It has brought you much pleasure and pride....That's great. It looks good..such a cute pose :)Thanks for sharing.

Hello..she needs to see a vet ASAP . Blood loss for so long is not a good sign at all.., and is a drain on the old girl's resources . Hope it can be sorted successfully for you .

She is coming to 4 mths old ..and is doing SO well he said she never barks ...and she went running to him when he called .. he loves her a lot , calls her his 'little girl' (tough trucker) and she sleeps in their bedroom at home . I couldn't be more pleased Nice when even ONE thing goes right . ;)

exactly ...cats breed at such a rate ...kittens are hidden away until they are able to run - they sadly become pregnant while still babies - and on it goes , while well meaning cat owners STILL believe their tiddles or fluffy-bum NEEDS to roam outside . I was once like that ..a lifetime ago in the big City Cats out during daytime/locked away at night . That proved to be not enough for their safety , and(over a period of 15 yrs) losing one to an irate neighbour , one to a nasty driver , and almost losing another to a car - having worked with cats suffering feline AIDS , seeing pregnant kittens, cats & possums after fights, & various other things ..a 24/7 cat curfew cannot come quick enough . That, and a big crackdown on ferals to help wildlife in urban areas especially ! Birdscaping is becoming so popular , and is SUCH a wonderful thing to do ,but sadly we have an army of predators taking advantage of backyards full of nests/fledglings/birds with full bellies, or so overweight they are a bit slow . Cats are glorious animals , they belong in a protected environment to be cossetted and loved and kept from both being a danger , and from encountering danger. A whole 'nother subject is the feral cat problem in Outback Australia ..where they can grow as big as a small kelpie ..can take down baby lambs/goat kids , and are quite capable of arguing with foxes. Heart-stoppingly beautiful to watch when they are hunting - but so, so destructive and deadly apologies .. this was way off-topic
