  1. Something to consider is to getthem something like an igloo in which to sleep :D A lo-roofed, warm and soft 'igloo' keeps in the body warmth, and protects from drafts. I don't care what bed your dog has... if it's not enclosed on three side/roofed, there will be cold drafts- especially at ground level (unless your house is heated 24/7 :p When regularly visiting cold old ballarat with old Mitch many years ago.. I always took a large piece of foam.. like the stuff mattress overlays are :D I would roll it into a tube.. tie it with string.. and he and his bedding would go in the middle of the 'pipe' . with one end against a wall or covered with blanket- he was as snug as!!

  9. try getting him to sleep on plain cotton sheets etc washed in hot water ONLY (no detergent) His own bed would be good do you sue any air freshener/insect repellant etc at night? Do YOU shower/spray/anoint yourself with any cream etc at night? Where does he do his final toilet? what plants are around (photos would be helpful). Or- what have ypu used in teh garden recently that he may be rolling in? Does he get any treat at bedtime?
  10. Hopefully it's 'only' a tummy bug Vomiting/bloody stools are usually not from eating rubbish, IMO. If she gets worse before the scheduled app't take her in anyway! Hope she's sorted soon

  16. baby steps - You will find what works, don't panic With the cats- make sure they have an escape place .. or are able to go outside to their run with no doggy access. Also- try having her on a long lead around teh scaredycat- so you can reinforce her looking to you, and remind her when she looks at the cat. ;)

  18. have your dog checked for HYPOGLYCAEMIA , as well as heart function. friends of ours had similarprob- took ages to rule out heart.... turned out it was hypoglycaemia .
