  1. Thanks. I saw that in the club newsletter, I am going to give him a ring on the weekend. my email is [email protected] - thanks for the help, I really appreciate it
  2. That would be fantastic Natsu, Brittanys first came here in 1975, if you happen to see any that would be fantastic. Ralleyvalley, I have an email from Eleanor that I still need to type up
  3. that is great, thanks. Are any other states as helpful? ralleyvalley I don't Tassie - Marilyn from Riverreed who I got Tilly from knew someone who had passed away that used to do a lot of agility, maybe it is the same person, will have to she if she can remember details :-)
  4. And I know the first flyball dog too her owner passed away last year
  5. Thanks Natsu. It was the Collie records that inspired is to start a list now and to maintain it. I saw all the folders at the Collie nationals, hard to believe that it was done in 2 months, it looked like years of work. Brittanys arrived here in the 70 s and the numbers aren't as great so it will be an easier job. I have managed to track down the first CD, first tracking champion and what is probably the first endurance title. And because it is so recent the first rally and dancing with dogs titles were easy.
  6. Hi, if you know of anyone trialling their Brittany in any field now or in the past, could you please pass this link on as we want as complete a history as possible. It is a list we are creating of Brittanys who have working titles. It is a living document and will continue to grow http://brittanytitlesaustralia.wordpress.com/
  7. Hi If you are considering a Brittany the dog would need to be fenced in or it will go hunting/wondering.
  8. fantastic. They are loving it, and isn't snow just perfect for Samoyeds :)
  9. Can't wait to see some photos too
  10. Did anyone go? I didn't get a chance yesterday, and decided the house needs some attention today.
  11. they are great fun. I have a La Sardina camera, it was one of the originals and the outside is like a tuna can. I really love the look of the spinner too.
  12. Maybe I am going to have to find the time to go to the horse stables :-) I saw the Childrens Hospital and was hoping to find time to go to that, but the horse stables is even better. I have to go to Footscray at lunch time, so might just have to bring the camera in case. The portable Iron houses might be great for some photos Tattoo house looks good too, a private house where they say many of the renovations were done on a tight budget, good to see what has been done
  13. 14. It was a great trial and the club did a brilliant job running the trial. I think the only reason it went so late was due to the very large entry which was unexpected, and having never run a rally trial before or knowing anyone who did they didn't really know how long the trial would take, it was great they did manage to find a few more judges so quickly before the trial, otherwise they may have only had time for one trial a day - and probably lucky to have a trial at all considering the state of the club grounds. The pass cards at Geelong are done via computer so can't be done ringside. Glad your dogs did well, they are lovely to watch in action. We had a beautiful course on Sunday that Graeme Eades had set out - unfortunately the gail had just started, someone's container of food came blowing as we were about to go in the ring with food all over the ground, dog went ferel in the ring and even jumped over the finish sign instead of walking He did pass all the other trials though, and got a 99 in his first trial with Mark Klecka which I was stoked with, he is nearly 9 and is just learning this obedience stuff, and didn't even know what heel was a couple of months ago until we had some lessons. I am joining the club as I have been inspired to keep going with him now, he really enjoys being out training etc. We have a lot to learn now before being able to trial in advanced, hopefully we can get there some time soon
  15. Beautiful work bedazzledx2, I am in awe
  16. Hil, I am back in action after a bit of a busy time, these are my photos for this week
  17. she doesn't look her age
  18. how cute. My dogs are all getting old now so only have short spurts of play, so am enjoying seeing yours playing
  19. good luck to you and everyone today with the judging. Let us know how you all go, it is very exciting. I went to the PMA yesterday but by the time we got to the judging there was really just landscape judging on so didn't watch much. We also bumped into another photographer friend who has work in today so it is a bummer I cant really sit and watch as I have too much editing to do. A friend who I have done the occasional bit of work for is going to join the AIPP so she will be showing her portfolio to me before she submits it for any ideas so that will be fun as I love looking at her photos. For myself at this stage I haven't been in the game for 2 years to be a full member so would have to be emerging, but might consider it one of these days. I know there is one local guy who would probably be a mentor that is fabulous, he is a landscape photographer but with heaps of info that anyone can use.
  20. Bring the gazebo. It is the agi show in October that restricts gazebos
  21. Sounds good. Does it cover all gundog breeds, and do Victorian members count?
