  1. Baby in Show (AM) was a Beagle! Yay Sue and Sassi
  2. Is anyone else having issues with the live stream? Mine keeps cutting otu and taking ages to buffer, then it comes back and the picture stays the same, but I can hear music. Very frustrating.
  3. Naww, I had tears when I saw these photos on facebook as well. You could see the life had disappeared from her when Harry went. Now, the sparks back! Very happy for Lola pug.
  4. I entered Proston, but won't be going. I don't think I'd be able to get up at 4am and drive 4 hours to get there. Not sure what I was thinking when I entered. Good luck to all those that go!
  5. He certainly does and I can confirm that he does do Surgical and TC AI's.
  6. I'll post for hilaryo and she can fill you in on the details. Macey was finally seen last night by the vet and she said she had seen reactions like this before, but they are very rare. She couldn't see anything wrong in all her tests and she's healthy. No high temp, no infections. Would you believe Hilary woke up this morning and the swelling has decreased dramatically. So Macey is fine although still in a bit of pain, Hilary is extremely busy at work trying to catch up from having three days off. Fingers crossed for puppies.
  7. Poor Mooey I hope everything's okay with her. Poor Hilary! Three days off work so far and there aren't even any puppies yet.
  8. Thanks everyone, it is a great feeling. Whilst I didn't have pressure on me from anyway, I sure did put a lot of pressure and stress on myself to get that last point. Now I feel we can go out and do shows without that pressure of wanting those points. Yes, I want those points now to go for her grand! haha, but that's a long way off. I did this comparison between Abby and her dam Macey. It kinda blew me away! Macey is on the left, at 3 years of age, Abby on the right at 15 months of age.
  9. Haha, your couch will continue to be empty for many many years yet :D Thanks Ishy :D Sorry to take Buffy's first points away, but I was so glad to get that final Challenge for her title. I'm sure your first points aren't too far away. Thanks for the celebratory cheesecake, that was awesome So delicious!
  10. They did have, breed clubs got their stands for free to promote their breed. Last year the organising body (can't remember who it is, it's different every year!) decided to charge breed clubs the same price as businesses to promote their breeds. I think they ended up seeing the light and offered a certain number of stalls to CCCQ and then the CCCQ offered them to affiliated clubs. But if i remember correctly, it was around September/October last year? There probably won't be anything about it until a few months before when they contract yet another new event management company to organise it.
  11. There were four entered. I think only one shown as Tammy said - Junior Bitch - Clovelly Whisper N White. She got Junior in Group.
  12. Thanks everyone Paperwork filled out already! haha.
  13. I mose well put this up here too! I've put it everywhere else. Today is exactly 12 months since Abby and I first entered the ring. Our year has far exceeded my expectations of our little "Monkey" and what we've achieved. Baby Puppy in Show at our third show under Mrs M Rose. Baby Puppy in Group under Karen Mangan (Breed Specialist). Baby Puppy in Specialty Show at our first NSW Specialty Show under Ms Sally Kimber. Best in Group (and Puppy in Group) at 9.5 months of age under Ms L Horne. Best headed bitch and Opposite Puppy in Show at the VIC Beagle Specialty. Junior in Show at the QLD Beagle Club Open Show. Now, to top off the last twelve months, her title to now be known as Aust Champion Baldev Blonde Bombshell at 15 months of age. This girl is just beautiful inside and out and makes you laugh every single day. I'm very lucky to have been offered her by her breeders. I was very scared about getting a "show dog" and how we'd go. She's just another one of my beloved girls who lounge around all day and we do a show (or two) on the weekends. From this at 8 weeks: To this at 15 months (taken last night): I look forward to the years ahead and where every our journey may take us.
  14. Haha, she doesn't have a tuck at the moment.. the tuck is filled with boobs. Hopefully by April she'll be back in coat and have her tuck back and looking perfect for the specialties.
  15. There's nothing I love seeing more than a beagle at the correct weight. I hate seeing obese beagles. I have to admit that my girls were once up around 14.5kgs, and I started to realise they were getting big. So I put them on barf, pulled their food back and have never looked back. They were sitting at 12.5kgs, but have had a little spread lately, but I'm pulling it all back again. Trying to get the right food intake between three dogs! I don't measure, just serve. One of my girls has HD, so I try and keep her on the thin side too. However, my show girl is sitting at 12.5kgs and I've purposely kept her lean through her season so she didn't spread out and me not be able to get the weight off her. Apart from having to keep her lean for the show ring, if she does put on weight, it goes straight to her topline and the fat above her shoulders and she rolls around and looks horrible on the move. This is her, at 15 months and 12.5kgs. I'm happy with her current weight. I haven't weighed her in a while, but i'm happy with her tuck and coverage of rib: I've never been game enough to say something to someone, unless we were already having a conversation. I have however told someone who has one of our old foster dogs that their dogs were too skinny. They look all drawn and thin in the face and you can see quite a few ribs and bones in their thigh. Just horrible
  16. Can you please confirm what time the shows starts? Seems to be some confusion between 9 and 9:30am. The March schedules amendments say 9:30am.
  17. Yeah, forecast to be 32deg. I'm leaving Andrew and the girls at home and just taking Monkey and me. At least Saturday night it will have started to cool down a bit before the show starts.
  18. I too have just bought a pair from shoebuy.com which worked out to about $75 incl postage. Although it took them 14 days to actually send me the confirmation to say they were being sent, it only took from the friday to monday for them to arrive via DHL. :D This is my fourth pair of skechers and I love them. Funky colours and cool designs.
  19. Well that certainly sucks! Don't you love last minute notice on events. The Champ Show starts at 9:30am (as per the amendments in the March Schedules), so I'd say the beagles would be on anytime between 10 - 10:30am. Just remember though, it's not just showing for your class, but if you get your class or BOB, RUBOB, you'll need to stay for Group, which would probably be after 11am? It depends on if they stop for morning tea, but you'd hope they don't if they are starting at 9:30am and it's going to be a hot day. If you get your class in group, you'll need to stay for in show which I'd say would be on after lunch. But it also depends on how many are entered in each breed. Just trying to give you rough timings!
  20. YAY! Tash will be here Are you doing Gympie the weekend after?
  21. My bitch is one point off her title and she came into season on the 1st December. We had a show on the 4th December and I showed her, but she was very flat and lack lustre. Tail down... I wish I had of just stayed home. I was told by judges and exhibitors in our breed to just let the judge know that the bitch is in season. I think without telling him and the obvious signs of blood, you could tell anyway because she looked very depressed. I also told the other exhibitors and kept her away from the other dogs. She's had a season, had a big break through christmas/new year and showed amazingly last weekend, but alas, that 1 point is still standing! Good luck getting that last point!
  22. Not good. got there, but about an hour before the show Oberon had an incident and cut his toe open. :D So had to leave the show, visit to the vets instead. How'd you go? Oh no! What did he cut his toe on? That's a little worrying... Abby showed amazingly... I've never had her show so good! A little bit disappointing that she was placed 3rd out of the 4 junior bitches, but oh well. I was happy with how excited and how happy she was to be there. I just hope it continues! Oh damn, should have stayed Friday night eh? Certainly will be! And the weekend after at the beagle club open show. Then Caboolture on the Sunday. Then Gundogs the last weekend in February. Plus I also entered Gympie on the Sunday. Ergh! I've just entered and will make up my mind on the day if I'll go. At least entering gives you an option to go. If you don't enter, you don't have that option! My attendance will be dependant on how hot it is.
  23. There's only going to be a small part of qld that hasn't been affected by a natural disater in the last month. after this comes through. Please stay safe everyone in NQ. It looks like a monster.
  24. How'd you go on Saturday night Crazy Daisy and Pixie Meg??
