A Warning To Anyone Who Feeds Bones
Bilbo Baggins replied to huski's topic in General Dog Discussion
 It would only happen to the EB. Poor Daisy I am very glad she is okay to continue on her evil life. :D :D :D Big hugs to you both. -
Actually I did not think light would be a good idea. But after reading your post I recalled that they can be set to only operate when someone wants to come in or out by sensor pads in the road.

Archer cannot be entered in Intermediate until the day he turns 18 months. However he can go in the others.

White Shepherd Rescue has 2 potential surrenders. 1 3 yo male in Maclean, NSW. 1 5 yo male Peregian Springs Qld. We do not have any members in either area. Our policy is to check the dogs for suitabilty before accepting the surrender. Both of them sound as though they have no problems. Please reply to [email protected] Assessment sheet will be provided. They will be reassessed whilst in foster care.

Here is the wording for a petition for lights at KCC Park following the car crash last Saturday night. PETITION TO IMPROVE SAFETY CONDITIONS AT ENTRANCE/EXIT TO K.C.C. PARK – STATE DOG CENTRE, 655 WESTERNPORT HIGHWAY, SKYE, 3977. VIC. MELWAYS MAP REFERENCE 128 J12 This petition is aimed at improving safety for vehicles entering & exiting the Park. This issue has arisen & has been prompted by a recent nasty accident in which a VCA member was attempting to exit the Park. Fortunately, the driver & her animals escaped major injury, but they were severely shaken up by the incident. POINTS TO CONSIDER. *We all know how difficult it can be to exit the grounds & to join into the stream of traffic in order to proceed to travel along the Highway. It is just as equally difficult & treacherous to cross to the median strip to travel back towards Cranbourne. Waiting for a safe exit point is frustrating & extremely dangerous. Additionally, many of the dog patrons are also towing trailers. *Another important factor creating this danger zone is that the heavy oncoming traffic has been slowed down by the roundabout on Hall Rd. By the time these vehicles are passing the Dog Facility they are doing usually at least the maximum speed of 100km per hour. *Added to this, the long straight stretch of Highway can be very deceptive, especially at night & particularly in the poorly lighted conditions that exist at present. SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENTS 1.***The NEED for overhead lighting on this stretch of road is imperative & MUST be undertaken by VicRoads IMMEDIATELY.*** 2.***The feasibility of a roundabout at the ENTRANCE point of KCC Park needs to be considered in near future road planning.*** 3.***Signage NEEDS to be erected to warn motorists of the danger of EXITING traffic from KCC Park.*** 4.***Change of Speed Limit allowance. For example to 80kms in the vicinity of the Dog Centre.*** ***The intention of this Petition is to present it to VicRoads, Cranbourne Council, Cranbourne Police Department, Local Govt.Members’ & Vic Dogs.*** ***Please give us your support before someone is severely injured or worse still, killed at this DANGER POINT.*** Thank You Thanks to Glenda Cheney for drawing it up. I would like to distribute it at Sunbury on Tuesday. I suggest 2 persons per group who plan on being at most Shows up until Christmas. I feel it should end on Saturday 17th the last Show at the park. Please do not rush me with your offers of help. :D :D :D I will appoint if I do not get volunteers. :D :D :D

I also bought one recently (at the Melb Royal) and as I've borrowed one before from a friend I have to say I too am very impressed with this brush. Also clearly it does benefit quiet different coat types as you have Pugs and I have Cavaliers. LizT and I got one at the same time, much to Sab's delight. ;) It is fantastic on the cavs coat. I sprinkle them with an Isle of Dogs product, brush that dry leave until just about to go in the ring then brush with CC and beautiful shiny coat.

Got mine Friday but where very wet so only a quick look.but there was a ring layout.

Hi Daveri I feel for you some breeders can be right pains to deal with. I do not believe you should change your email lots of people have hotmail, gmail, yahoo etc. Also you have every right to have a blocked number. Its only a problem if the receiver does not allow you to leave a voice mail message. There was a fantastic tread her a few moths ago about a person looking for a pup and the to an froing. But I think it got nuked because a couple of people got personal.

Glad you put that up. Cavs definitely need training.
-
Slightly factual. Aperson can apply to have the chip changed to their name. The register contacts the previous owner if they do not reply in 2 weeks dog goes to new owner.
-
Well all of Octobers are done and dusted. No reports from Monteba, Icemist or zzTop.
-
Leema do not worry about it and let them dry up. Watch for signs of mastitis. Try putting an ice pack on them.

 Not good TrinaJ

Really?! Is that a real statistic? Is it only me who has found JRT's and crosses to be one of the most feisty dogs to own? All the Jrts we have had through our rescue have been wonderful, not an ounce of aggro. Any dog in the wrong hands can be aggro, you not long ago had your White Shepherd 9that you had a few litters from) PTS because of this didnt you? Totally agree Chewwy. Its all about socialization and care. And with this a difficult dog can be turned around.

Can anyone enlighten me on this  Labradors? Cavaliers.

Neuter Ch Classes- A Question To Ask
Bilbo Baggins replied to InspectorRex's topic in General Dog Discussion
Great idea oakway. And another thought along a similar line, how about our state CCs offering free transfer from Mains Register to Mains Neuter Register for a period of time also.. I can't remember, but am pretty sure there is a cost involved in this? VCA charges to change over which is a bloody rip off. All they should need to do is sight the desexing certificate and enter it on the computer but no they want your original rego cert so they can print you out a new one and charge you for it. Yep charges like wounded bulls for sweet F*(&(*& all. ;) -
He is rather cute. Hope the poor bubba is feeling better.

Your Opinions Greatly Appreciated :-)
Bilbo Baggins replied to Stolzseinrotts's topic in General Dog Discussion
Stolz good question. Since I have been showing again I have discovered some very dodgy activities by top winning people. My dogs are much loved house pets first, show dogs second, breeders third. I bred for many years pure bred pets for wonderful homes. Have had people coming back for seconds and prepared to wait until I have a litter. I have painted myself in to the ground by keeping the older dogs but I would not have it any other way. Last year I took on a wee girl who did not turn out. Even though I knew she had to go I was devastated and cried. I breed to replace but also supply good quality dogs to loving homes. To survive I am probably going to have to place some dogs. This will be done with great care. KOE I find your situation very sad that the breeders have not looked at your practises and seen what a fantastic home and environment their pups would go to. That I believe is elitist. I would be so proud to see one of my breeding in the ring with someone else. -
Silly me frogot I would have to delete the first post. :cheer: Houston we have lift off. Day 16.
