  1. As a breeder, asking for a discount would raise some concerns as to your financial capabilities to afford the dog throughout it's lifetime. In our conversations/emails to potential owners we give purchase price and what's included (chip, 1st vac, transport to airport if required on one day chosen by myself, etc). We do understand that not all buyers are as well researched as some, had a lady ask if I could tell what colors the puppies were from the u/s - that was a bit cute!
  2. There's no way I (just on 5ft female) would have been hopping out of my car to assist the man, I am not a specimin of fleetness or fitness and would have ended up bitten as well I'd suspect. I would, however, have tried to drive as close as possible so he could have climbed on my vehicle. They are the biggest AST I have ever seen - wonder what they're crossed with? I think the video footage should be useful for when the case goes to court.
  3. Very nicely put. I thought it's an overall excellent statement, showing social conscience, business ethics & insight into the p/b breeding world. Well done, Troy. Just wanted to highlight one bit of the statement that 'speaks' to me. Recognition will also be given to those who participate in ANKC activities (eg Showing, Obedience, Agility, Retrieving etc). This kind of participation as dogs go out into the world & encounter other dogs, other people & other environments is worth its weight in gold, for socialisation. And that's what makes a companion dog, a companion dog. And well socialised mother dogs have a positive influence on their puppies. This is ONE aspect of the p/b dog breeding world that's the total opposite of someone operating in a puppy farming way. . Agree with everything above!
  4. Wow, only 4 Aussie's on the Sunday - where is everybody? It'll be down to 3 if the others turn up as our girl's as bald as a badger - good luck everybody!
  5. Our cheque was cashed a fortnight ago and got number yesterday.
  6. Our cheque was cashed a fortnight ago and got number yesterday.
  7. Our singleton turned into a swimmer before one week old. Used the egg carton method and he's almost normal now
  8. I thought it was such a novel idea - might give it a try in the future
  9. Is there a link where you can rewatch the handlers?
  10. Our litter arrived via emergency c-sect on 11th Feb, 2 dogs and 1 bitch. The runt (140g) had to be revived multiple times and sadly crossed later that day. The bitch, Honey Badger, died on day three. The remaining dog, Trouble, then became a swimmer. He is now doing well but every time he even twitches his little ears I nearly have a heart attack! This is only my second litter and it so far has been one of the most emotional times of my life and also for my husband and daughter
  11. Maisilva Australian Shepherds are expecting a litter from our girl Ch Mysql Genuine Risk (iid USA) to the stunning HOF Am/ASCA/CKC Ch Lyric's Night and Day (USA)! Due mid February.
  12. Doesn't look good - for once it makes me happy to be just south of the border although I suspect if it passes NSW won't be long before Victoria adopts it :-(
  13. I have both the Cool Champion and the chamois type and the chamois one wins hands down. It's lighter and stays cooler for longer and easier to squeeze water out.
  14. Report it. It's done something to be "declared" in the first place and now it's done something again. How lucky we're both owners that you helped
  15. Their $2500 package is very similar to what SOI offers from what I can see but SOI is still cheaper.
  16. My friend has these type of beds and her dogs love them
  17. We have imported semen using Cryogenes and SOI, both are really good and not much different in costs. SOI do a bit more of the paperwork we found.
  18. Group 5 Big - sheltie Rubig - Collie Rough
