  1. Does Bulla have lights? If so could it be possible to schedule the shows that fall during the warmer weather months there for Twilight?
  2. I'm a cat person at heart but I still love my dogs. The Hornet is my heart cat, and I love that when I'm away for a weekend dogshow he drives my husband nuts my walking around the house looking for me! The Hornet is not like most cats - he plays fetch (with the dogs as well as inside), he loves to shower, clicker trained to do a few tricks and is just fantastic with our 3 year old daughter. My husband likes both cats and dogs equally.

  4. Those poor people and their dogs Hope the two attcking dogs are destroyed - no place for them in our society
  5. I would suggest to you that governments are already handing over quite a bit of OUR money to assist people who need financial assistance. And I would also suggest to you that no government is going to make a special case for this one and build a fence where the level of responsibility is so poor that the occupants would probably not bother to close the gate anyhow. The first and last rule of dog ownership is KEEP YOUR BLOODY DOG AT HOME! I don't want to see it chasing cars, I don't want it bailing up somebody's cat or some elderly person, fighting with other roaming dogs, I don't want it pooping all over the nature strip or outside the shops, and I don't want to hit it on the road with my car when I come around a corner on a dark night. If these people cannot safely keep their dog at home, then they should find another home for the dog, or surrender it to council. No government handouts of taxpayers money, no freebies, there are enough rorts already. Souff +2 I am so sick of people blaming others for their shortcomings.
  6. Those poor dogs - some people are just sick and I hope they catch them. The only positive I can see is that it was very lucky that the husband was home to help move the GD - I can't imagine how hard it would be on a pregnant woman to move a 65kg dog alone.
  7. Those poor child What a terrible thing for them to be made to be a part of
  8. They look awesome Think I might order one - because hey one Aussie needs 3 cool coats right!
  9. I love the chamois ones - light weight but stay cooler longer than the silver eagle ones I've found. I can lend you my spare one if you want to try it
  10. We had 5 originally and lost all but one to a fox - that one lonely male now named "Roger the Dodger" made more noise by himself than all 5 combined! The females call is less offensive on the ears than the males. I have not noticed them actively seeking out the dogs but if the dogs feel the need to get in their faces the entire flock will circle the fool making the most awful rackus and the dog will back away without any dignity, Lol.
  11. We moved to our property early last year and it was a greenie's paradise - low shrubs, fallen logs, creepers, rocks, etc. We started to clean it up and much to our horror found a Brown snake hibernating under one of the sleepers under our daughters bedroom window - less than 3 metres from our backdoor Rang the snake catcher the vets gave us the number for and he said he'd be at least 3 hours - sorry but that's too long to wait. Our back yard now resembles a golf green - no shrubs, creepers, rocks, logs. We've put sump oil around the boundary and have a flock of 10 guniea fowl and thankfully we've not had any snakes since May last year. The Guniea's roam free around our 2 acre property during the day and I feel that they are a big deterant - maybe the snakes have seen what they did to any mice they caught! During the big mouse plague earlier this year we were disposing of up to 20 dead mice a day from our Guniea's and cat - never had a mouse in the house whereas friends a few km away got over 180 in 2 months. I don't believe our yard is snake proof but I do think it's not very inviting as compared with our neighbour who has no fencing, shadecloth, cats, guniea fowl. In saying that we do have shovels placed around the yard in case we are forced to protect our child, dogs, cats as waiting 3 hours for a snake catcher is as useless as tits on a bull.

"Something big is going on" besides jumping to assumptions what other creditable information do you have at hand? You weren't sharing information - you were adding to the hysteria - as bad as the media IMO
