  1. Glad to hear you are on the right track and were happy with Kathy. It will be interesting to see how he progresses over the coming weeks/months and how long before you are allowed back to off lead parks. Goodonya
  2. Throw a sickie on Friday and come and meet Strauss :D
  3. Yep the 2 red kids were mind and the Aussie was Bedazzleds. I had the clicker out and was using it as front presents have gone wayward and I also had Soggybear out and was clicking and treating bits with her. We had a chair out in the middle of the ring and needed to make sure she was confident that the chair wasn't going to get her
  4. I am definitely glad I didn't go then! I would have been a bit annoyed if I had driven an hour and it had been totally cancelled LOL Some training went on as there was gear set up and they were still going when I left - just before 9.
  5. Were you undercover last night Emery - we were there with the feral three
  6. I am like a kid waiting for Christmas Zoe visited him today and all is well. She took a doekken for him to play with but he was more interested in trotting around with the food container she had with her. Apparently he has just about lost all of his puppy coat - so might have to dig out an old pair of Lexi's PJ's for him to wear when he comes home on Friday :D I plan on sitting the other kids down on Thursday evening and telling them I have a surprise for them on Friday morning
  7. The chat is the best bit about Monday nights and it was great to meet you, your mum and the kids. Maybe we need to stick all the kids names in a hat and that who we take into Rally. That would make life VERY interesting. Nope no drool my clothes - WHEW
  8. What? ;) You have to think of these things!!! what hope have I got...... Lara,Scoota,Beans,Lexi,Cider,Strauss No wonder I drink red wine before I go training
  9. Good luck Kathq - where are the Nationals??
  10. Thanks girls for a nice night at training last night - you all did wonders for my motivation and Lexi slept like a princess
  11. Woo Hoo what a princess So does this mean you now have a flock of Aussies
  12. Some good results over the weekend - well done Terranik, Smisch and Kavik. I'm going to place a brag for my mate Bedazzled who is on her way back from a country trial. Yesterday Brooklyn won Masters Jumping GO THE OBEDIENCE DOGS . To top the weekend off - Brookie also won open obedience and on Saturday took out open and UD both with 196 - well done mate
  13. A+D are the pet Supply people in Midvale where you can get Camel, Horse, beef, lamb, goat, chicken necks, kangaroo and lots of bones from. I'd be interested in trying goat.....who is A+D?
  14. Fargo sure is a pretty boy Friday morning 9am and Strauss will be all mine Good luck with the bahaviouralist - let us know how you get on. Some of my guys don't like kangaroo - its a fairly strong tasting meat. For those of you who use goat - A + D managed to get some in today, but they don't have a lot. My boy Fargo was He was my 'working type' cocker from working stock that I had to re-home before moving over here He is gorgeous (and very happy in his new home ) although I'm biased of course It's not a nice experience is it How long till Strauss is a free man now? The dogs tried Kangaroo for the first time tonight and promptly walked away from it However once lightly sautéed in olive oil they decided it was edible and scoffed the lot Louis has the behaviourist coming round on Wednesday morning for a couple of hours so hoping that all goes well and we can get him on the road to feeling happier around other dogs
  15. Credit to the AQIS boss who has already responded to my email. The $120 charge was 2 x 15 minutes vet fee + $40 document processing charge all lumped under the one item number. It must have been one long document
  16. I received my Quarantine bill yesterday $1382.00 but what got me was a charge for FFS examination, audit, assessment or other per 1/4 hour - quantity 3 = $120. So it was $120 for a 45 minute examination of a 12 week old puppy. 45 MINUTES!!!!! I have been cheeky enough to ask them what is done during this time as the AQIS website says something about 30 minutes is average. Unfortunately anybody who imports doesn't have a leg to stand on you pay it or you don't get your dog. Sitting here shaking my head 45 minutes!!!!!
  17. I don't think so - I think that will be all too hard. Mum was saying that today at Quarantine he was feral and "drive" wasn't an issue with this child . If he is at home I can always race home and get him after the trial, but he may be at Rockingham.
  18. Strauss will be + Lexi and if thats a showing day then SoggyBear will be too - need to check my K9 Mag
  19. In theory there is no difference between a working and a show toller however, my kids are kept very very lean which makes them look different to some of the tollers being shown, particularly in the ES.
  20. I am at high powered meeting with executives on Wednesday in the City - 9.30 and my mobile phone rings - so i excuse myself (first problem is I don't know how to turn my mobile phone off!), anyway to cut a long story short, its my neighbour telling me that Lexi has escaped and is standing in the middle of the road and she can't catch her . This made it the 3rd day running that she had managed to get out of the back yard. Neighbour - bless her fills her pockets with Tucker Time and goes in pursuit of Lex and eventually manages to coax her into her lougeroom before slamming the door closed. Neighbour goes off and pours herself a stiff drink, I wipe the sweat of my forehead and casually walk back into my meeting and crisis averted. I still have no idea how Lexi is getting out, assuming that she is going over the fence, this is a dog that knocks bars when jumping 400, apparantly she managed to scale the neighbours freezer when somebody came to her front door. So $200 and 2 trips to Bunnings later I have now added a lattice structure to the top of the fence and I am hoping that will do the trick.
  21. Rebus is a real softie and a lovely dark colour - almost toller like Oh I am SO useless with names - one cat got Mackie because she is a mackeral tabby Maine Coon, the other cat got Bluey because he's grey and white....... so not original Anyway, I have the following names: Robbie Andy Davey Jamie Johnny Jonesy Ben Jock I think I'll need to meet the little blighter before he gets his name but I am leaning towards Robbie because it's Scottish, or Davey because it will run off the tongue easily when I am roaring at (Davey and) Dougal Mother is Soda and the father is Rebas - I don't know their full names!!! How is little Stauss going? Not long now till you have him home? :D
  22. How exciting Golden Rules. Do you have a name picked out and who is mum and dad?
