Thanks everyone I love these guys He is warmblood by Byalee Briar out of a Donnerblitz mare. They don't eat the cactus or the weeds thank goodness since I'm a bit overrun with them at the moment Thanks guys, yes B has the most wonderful temperament a very friendly and sensible fellow

Masters of their domain lol
-
Hi everyone I let the two boys in together for a little while this morning that always provides some good photo fodder and lots of entertainment as B is only 11 months old going going in with Lou he kept asking "are you my new mum?" and looking for an udder which Lou was less than impressed about! He spent most of the time right up Lou's butt Eventually Lou told him to get his nose out of it B didn't really catch on and they ended up hooning around for a while Lou teaching bad habits to his little friend

Sounds good :D ETA you can keep track of most of the major local events here

It doesn't lower immunity but it does trigger an immune response so it does take energy and resources to support that response, so it's a good idea to minimise any other potential drains on those resources until this response is over.

LOL that's the president of our jump club, must have been caught by surprise. She's one tough bird she broke her leg cross country a few years back got back on the horse and jumped two more fences before she realised apparently!
-
Great pics! If I'd known you were going I would have caught up with you The cross country is up the back it's been pushed aside thanks to the stupid criterion track, you can usually find a tree for shade around the place.
-
Thanks Chris I do try to get out and take some pics if I'm not riding so hopefully I'll get some more although this year is pretty much done and dusted as far as events go.
-
Thanks guys it was good fun Most competitions have a photographer now, there was one taking pics at the same fence (her pics were loads better as you would expect) all levels so it's quite achievable
-
Lol Tiggy, I was stewarding so didn't get a choice of fences to sit on, I'm glad I wasn't at the water jump I think that was the site of a few falls.

Unfortunately a lot of horses do get dogged for a lot less than injuring a human, some get it for being too slow, too fast, too ugly, too old, too young (ie ill bred young horses that aren't worth the cost of educating them), and yes I agree with everyone here horses and dogs are similar only in that they are domesticated and many humans live closely with them, in nearly every other way they cannot be compared at all. I have a horse that is more likely to kick than the others, I tell anyone who is near her that she has been known to kick, some people listen, some people don't. OMG that's terrible! I evented for about 10 years attended heaps of events and clinics, in that time there were three horse deaths (two broken legs from landing awkwardly in water the third crashed into the fence and broke a shoulder) and one human death (horse fell on him).

Thanks Lic No that's Lou being silly. Min and Daisy are out on agistment being feral at the moment, if they go ok they will probably stay there until winter. Daisy is for sale but I haven't had any interest so I doubt she'll be going anywhere for a while lol.
