I am fortunate enough to have 2 spare rooms opposite each other, one is the dogs bedroom the other my whelping room ,Wooden floors with carpet tiles & lino in the whelping box area ,I also have a mattress on the floor in the whelping room ,that most of my bitches choose to whelp on, if not in the huge whelping box, that has a heat lamp above it & heat pads under the vet bedding , My last litter were born 1 week premmie so all heating was used, including oil colume heaters . I always sleep in the whelping room until such time as I can no longer stand to be *attacked *by the bubs as they grow . the first few days I leave the bitch to settle with her brood, but keep a watchful eye from another corner of the whelping room .I have a detachable side panel on my whelping box ,so the bitch can come & go as she pleases ,also my whelping box Has a hinged lid to unsure warmth @ all times .My pups r handled from day one & introduced to every conseivable thing I can think of as they progress ,By the time they leave my care ,they r fully socalised & toilet trained to the best of my ability . I put my pups out ,during the day for a few hrs,in the warmer weather, in a separate puppy pen that leads from my whelping room to the outside world.

I was thinking exactly the same ,also if u r in need of clothing ect im sure there r a few of us her that could help out if u let us know yr size ect ,so pleased u found a silver lining ,what courage u have Jed Trusting your reunion with your fur friend lfts the spirits . .

THANK DOG for good friends !!!!!the health system is stuffed, to put it politly ,the vet wouldnt kick a dog out b 4it was healed !!!!!heres trusting being out of the hospital will help with your recovery .thinking of u always .

Cant keep a cocker down ,the fact that he is blind would increase his other sences . I have a blind girl also who can smell smoke 3 suburbs away !!!

there r mant strains of KC ,some which the vacine does not cover .

I have always supervised carrot eating, but it is great for cleaning teeth also !!they love to chew on them .

Along with all the other advise ,I never emerce my dogs in water ,but use a hand held shower head .keep the water @ body tempreture & do not wet the face work from the back of the head ,after soaking dog ,turn water off shampoo lather up ,then rinse the face & eyes can just be wiped with a cloth . Talk to your dog reasuring it that bath time is fun .reward after bath .

It was so great to hear you talk . What heroisum we have seen,as we all watched you on the screen . A more devoted annimal lover,yet to be seen . You have walked so tall on rocky land,but we have all been here ,holding your hand . You have travelled down a rocky road ,carrying a painfull load . I am sure, no less that ,you can feel the love of all of us as you heal . Your loved ones also up above are beaming down with undying love . You fought for them until the end More respect Sympathy,love & healing vibes we send . So many words have been said,but whatmore can mere words say,we think of you every single day . Hot & cold compreseses,alternativley ,Would also stop manual expressing till seen by vet ,if bich is happy to feed mak sure pups r not on effected boob . do u have cabbage leaves ?also a good remedy . good luck, but get her to vet asap antibiotics will help .

my adults r fed a mix of dry & Raw, when my bitches r about 5 weeks preggie I change them over to puppy dry/Raw & continue this until pups r weaned .
