Ok...have cars on the mind and it got me thinking as to what people had as dog cars - eg do you make do with what you have? do you have a car bought to be the dog-mobile? Do you have a car that you wish was more suited to ferrying dogs about? etc

If people only after puppies to prove commitment...so many rescue dogs or run on show etc dogs would never be rehomed... Good luck in finding a Dobe Have you tried the Dobe rescue groups?

I was slowly reading the thread and was thinking it might be a lipoma Glad to hear that's all it is

Handy to know. What's the water/sugar ratio? Same as you'd use for salty water - or depending on what it is, no water needed.
-
Thinking you you and Fern both!
-
I've also used sugar to dry up/seal a wound, much as you might use salt...but without the ouchness!

Could be anything...my Bronx only cocks his leg for special occasions And he was 4-5yrs old before i ever saw him do it! However my other GSD Sabre first started cocking his leg at around 4-5months from memory!

At this point there may be a chance i can't make it Will see how i go tho!

Hehehe it's so cute!

The brother isn't the father of the child, the brother is the partner of the baby's young grandmother. And if i remember correctly the father of the baby isn't much better then the mother of the baby.

No Berner clubs in QLD?
-
Bumpity bump Must admit...i'm becoming curious about the Leo's again, the Berner might come first...but i'm having serious thoughts about having both!

I completely forgot about the one on tomorrow night - how have the other ones gone?

I've had one dog put to sleep - and i stayed with him the entire time. My vet has a great mix for the job tho...one second for the injection, another second and the animal relaxes, 3rd second the animal has passed quietly. Not sure i'd go anywhere else to have one of my mob PTS - i've heard too many horror stories of pets freaking out, fitting etc etc during the process. I've also held two dogs that weren't mine while they were PTS, for one the owner couldn't cope and i had already been treating the dog so i stayed with him. The other dog was a perfectly healthy older BT - the owner just wasn't interested in the dog, let alone staying - mind you he wouldn't let the Vet rehome the dog either.

Do you have enough dogs yet?

She's sooo pretty!!! You know you'll have to put up more pics..lol

Are we talking New Farm Park? Hmm...will have to work out how i get there from the Southside :D I'm having a hard enough time getting my head around getting to St Lucia for the Million Paws/Peis Walk! ;)

I might be able to make it with a somewhat fluffy GSD... ETA - I'll be able to be more sure when we get to when and where
-
Just caught up with his owners, they seems happy enough that i put the dog back and re sealed up their gate - but not hugely concerned...more concerned that i had rocked up on their doorstep then anything else. At this point i'll just keep an eye out for if he gets out again.

Ok...found a GSD wandering this morning so couldn't help myself and went out after him, managed to track down his house (owners not home) found where he escaped from and sealed that up. He wasn't wearing a collar and his condition was shocking, seriously under weight, matted and had ticks on him - i got as many of the ticks that i could find off of him - but...now what do i do? He could be crook, Sabe got to a shocking state before coming good again (and we're just working on getting all his fur back now) so i'm not stating that they are neglecting him as such. I don't think age is the issue as he should be about the same age as my Bronx perhaps a year older at most - but..do i bring the fact that he escaped to the notice of his owners and just point out that i found ticks on him so it might be worth getting him treatment? etc? A note perhaps? He is a lovely lad and very well behaved it's just disapointing to see him in that condition when i don't think he should be And it's worrying that if he's confined to the yard...where did he get the ticks from? I'll have to make sure this place is tick free etc as we are only a house or two down from him. Any comments/advice welcome.

From memory the Royal Canin GSD one is also wheat free - and of course is fine for other breeds

I really enjoyed training there - it just got a bit expensive driving down there and back several times a week
