i would find her a home where someone understands the breed but appreciates she will not be a worker but an awesome pet

Exactly ,i often think Australians are snobs about what they think is right compared to other countries & the fact is dog ownership in this country is no where near the likes of many overseas places . Some consider a 10 min sniff a walk & an outing & will say what these dog walkers do is not right .There getting out,there trained & i would walk past these dog walkers any day compared to most in the burbs with one dog on an extender lead that head straight for you because there dog is dragging them over & they believe there dog is entitled to say hello .You can pick the dogs who have been to a crappy puppy class a mile away

Soft crates get hot,It was a hot day ,if this dog hasn’t been truly crate trained that is a long time,add medication then it’s most likely the dog could toilet in the crate after all when you have to go you go and no one was home if he was actually asking to be let out .No different to a human in the same scenario suddenly having to seek a loo out due to meds step backwards no but you need to plan outings differently if the crate is your choice of confinement. I would look at the bathroom or laundry if cool enough and use a baby gate . I guess it depends what your long term plan is for the dog when going out

But keep in mind many of these dogs are generally apartment dogs ,they would live a more social life than many dogs in Australia & dog walkers are employed to do that take them for a walk ,The climate is different so going for a walk is just that ,most owners take them to the offleash parks once home,do doggy daycare & take them out to the cafes etc etc ,They get to enjoy more daily life skills than dogs here . Even in the UK in March the dog walkers are going for a brisk walk,its cold,wet & maybe sleeting but again owners can take there dogs for other thrills to more places than us

Frenchies like to think they can take on the world ,attitude plus understanding what is a Frenchie mannerism and what is not normal is a must ,some can misinterprete a Frenchie and see it as something else so learning what is legit bad manners and what is normal but needs toning Down is a must . We board a lot of Frenchies ,I showed them as a kid and through the years ,some are feisty ,others just bluff and some just need to learn the middle step Manners n more who I suggested do loose leash classes and great distraction classes ,they do indoors so ideal with summer coming up and a Frenchie they also do one on one classes at home . I don’t have issue dogs but all my pups are driven to an area where people walk and dogs are on leash . I will take a chair or blankie and go sit teaching my puppies to watch the world and having self control ,rewarding with there toys as they luv there stuffed teddies and food,the same spot has burdlife which is another distraction for a Gundog ,before I leave I do a very short walk which is solely based on fun and focusing on me .I don’t want perfection I just want joy for me ,my dogs are showdogs so working on a loose leash out in front is something I want

First off if you wanted a mild meek breed you got it wrong with a Frenchie ,they are full on,boisterous go getters . As for following you around that is a given,his previous owner was a lady ,your the equivalent.The kids are unknown territory to this dog . You at present is this dogs "person" ,it is looking to you for guidance & direction just like your kids would except it has no clue . Your dog has been with you for 6 weeks,it’s world has changed ,take a step back and give the dog a chance to settle . Go back to basics for training ,start from the beginning of a clean slate & this dog having no idea what you want or expect ,there often not the best offleash BUT some can be ,he isn’t stubborn ,most likely has no idea what your asking it to do but you expect it to do it ,Rome wasn’t built in a day or 6 weeks ..So you need to decide what behaviour you want & start teaching it . It sounds like you need to join a training school who will train you on how to control your new dog . Manners n more is a great group ,I would also contact the French Bulldog awareness group in a Perth for good breed advice and guidance,they do have a Facebook page plus there website .They do fun days etc etc & have a great little community . With the right guidance you should have a great little dog but they certainly slip into the little dog big dog shoes . Many dogs dont enjoy playing with them due to there snorting noises ,the noise is strange so some dogs react well others move away plus as silly as it sounds dogs do look at them differently being Flat Faced ,Frenchies are like Pugs great dogs but have busy brains BUT are very trainable . As to the lack of training that is a risk you take when adding an older dog to your home ,you either need to be prepared for putting in the extra work which will be very rewarding if you understand the Frenchie way or this dog will not be a joyful member of the household . If your stressed just imagine how the dog feels ,

Most councils in Australia have Limits on how many you can walk at a time overseas different . Would I walk that many never especially with belt holders ,it’s the norm overseas and granted they are often better lead trained and have better social skills than most dogs in Australia but I do feel there is a safe limit . As for walking mine don’t go on walks to sniff at posts and pee ,they go on walks to exercise . Happy well adjusted dogs that don’t drag me to piss up everything or do what they want ,see far to many of those owners who think peeing up everything is right

I would be buying dog boots and seeing if that reduces the flare ups. The dog may have co tact allergies or bad tinea

Just gets washed like the rest of the dog ,shampoo/conditioned ,dogs are trained early on bath manners so no big deal

We have boarded numerous Bulldogs especially pairs of females and all trouble,the m/ f combos no drama . Breeds do play a factor but any odd moments here have been between the girls

Any vet bills and issues per breeder terms should have been covered before purchase ie your expectations and there’s as to who pays what and the risks

Yep time for tough live when it comes to feeding . Not sure how long you have had puppy but keep in mind time difference and lack of competition at food time by other dogs . You need to be the dogs competition ,here is your food ,you have 5 mins put away . We never feed at a set time . Feed time needs to be in a quiet area with no options or alternatives . Rare but some people use food bowls that smell very plastic ,are weird shaped . If your puppy arrived in good weight it eats

You need to feed her away from the other dog, irrespective of how good she is being at present she needs to be placed away in a quiet zone without humans and dog being in the space .She needs to learn feed time is calm time . We don’t feed any dogs here together and we don’t have issues ,we just believe feed time is a time for calm and no drama .

I would feed her away from the other dog ,slow feeders can work. I would be more inclined to feed on a raised stand ,you can place tennis balls in the bowl. I too would feed two meals ,well at 6 months it would be getting 2 meals anyway I would be cautious with a bone . Whats the dog like when given food rewards ,a snatcher,self control

Did you ever get the one on one training for the other issues you had .

Well like others have said hopefully the age is wrong because throwing up won’t be an issue because it will need bottle feeding

I wouldn't discount ,you don't need to do anything special to this dog . The main thing here is its either an issue for you or it isn't. If you feel its going to be the wrong pup then tell the breeder . I applaud the breeder for testing & letting you know asap, The only thing we wouldn't do is ask for money until all tests are finalized

i would be seeking a bowen person for sure or asking for a more in depth scans sooner than later depending on what path you wish to follow. If it was me i would be finding a kids toy on wheeels or create something to allow the dog to move more freely,trying to minimize muscle wastage is important . I have owned a dog with spondo & generally you see the signs leading up if you know your dog,have owned a another dog that injured his back leading to read paralysis.Both dogs where x rayed & the other had a mylogram .Keeping fit was a must . Both dogs received regular bowen treatment ,keep in mind pinched muscles can leave a dog unable to walk. I have alo had a dog who pulled a muscle just below his tail that made him unable to use his rear end & when he could was very drunk un co ordinated ,Bowen solved that . But you need to feel happy what path you take

If it’s the prime 100 sp chicken we stopped using due to the rice not being choked and lots of sharp bits . I do feed other Prime 100 varieties
