  1. Walks here is for walks not social outings ,sniffing & peeing .I don't allow my dogs to think peeing up everything in public is acceptable . My dogs have other outlets to play & interact but not on there walks & i believe the greater majority of dog owners follow that plan aswell & see no issues with owners who do this . Infact i got feed up walking my dogs in some areas where other people thought it was there right for there dogs to interact with mine or play & then get all high & mighty when i would say no ,like i was the bad owner .There dogs would act like untrained crazies dragging them to play (well often that was the word they used when fairly obvious they had no manners & the owners not concept of control or respect ). It sad we live in a world where people are so quick to judge people who use different methods when out in public with often not knowing the full story & just getting the basics Here is a person whose dog is on lead & under control & she made out to be unfair ,then the next breathe we read posts about offleash dogs & there owners & there idiots because they don't have effective control . I now dogs feed a similar diet who have medical issues & its part of a process in working out a diet regime infact a dog we breed is currently being feed similar & yes the vet is happy with the diet so far for what they are achieving. Diet is personal & breed specific & i can tell you from someone who works with dogs 24/7 365 days of the year i see a wide selection of diet options & i think many people who be amazed at which dogs are often healthier & the diets there feed
  2. What did the breeders feed them ??Have you stuck with that diet or changed it ?? What other treats do they get?? How long do you leave the food bowls down?? Creating fussy eaters is an issue the more you pander the more the pups will play the game & generally win. We will change diets if a dog isn't doing well or truly isn't enjoying it but otherwise diet & feeding is not deal game here ,eat it or lose it

    Help Please!

I wouldn't trust hose panels for a Stafford baby & would be more concerned of the damage pup will do to it self with them .
  4. We would be bottle feeding not tube , Our pups are 3 weeks & drink water ,eating mince, soaked puppy & other foods & there a small breed
  5. Stupid you for selling without full payment. You need to stop phoning & start doing things in writing he said/she said won't be much help if you go civil & phoning every day isn't going to help the cause . You need to take a step back & approach this is a professional manner .Engage a debt collector like mentioned or send a bill ,find out what you must do to legally inform them you want payment ,make sure you do it all correctly & if no luck then small claims
  6. Also having no tail means nothing How does he behave with a different handler who you trust ?? It could be a combo of your handling .mixed signals & dog not knowing where it fits.
  7. Im the opposite all my active large breed pups are taught how to switch off . I do walk mine within reason as they need to be lead trained and experience the world but its a short walk We don't teach leash training in our backyard & all our pups from 5 weeks play in the front garden so they see cars, bikes ,kids & any other noise . You can simply sit out the front on leash . As for weight im not a fan of too lean ,my large breeds pups are well covered they grow quickly and a underweight pup can suddenly be anorexic when it grows so adjusting the weight to growth is important ,I see far to many lean pups up to 12 months & then they struggle to get weight or condition on . Your breeder should be a wealth of knowledge though & don't be afraid to ask them questions us breeders want to hear from our puppy buyers & give them sound breed knowledge
  8. I would be taking them to an eye specialist & getting a BAER test done . The question i would ask myself is would i take on this pup for ever ,if the answer is no them i consider the same applies to other people.
  9. If your breeder is a good one there diet sheet & knowledge should be your first discussion point. What is best is what suits the dog & even the breed not all food work well with all breeds so what people may suggest could be a nightmare for your dog. Is there any reason you don't want to follow the breeders diet chart??
  10. Should hace said it won't be live & there vidoeing some breeds that will be placed on that site at some point but its great for other shows anyway
  11. Crufts themselves only stream main ring events ,another UK site are going stream some breeds at random or people video themselves & post to you tube . They have never shown breed judging just clips during interviews with judges
  12. Training a Dobe to stack itself & hold a good carriage isn't that simple . I help train Dobes for the ring & all are taught to be stacked manually & are use to having the tail handled/touched a very important part of the ring especially when being examined by the judge . Teaching the stand que is easy teaching a pup to stack true & look good at the same time is a whole different ball game
  13. Depends on the breed & what its requirements are on the stack . Many options but training a good sound stack in the first place can vary from breed to breed
  14. You don't get any acknowledgement or Ref # with Virgin atleast with AAE you get sent out paperwork & ref # when you book The dog will be booked as special requirement so you can't do online boarding pass you must check the dog in first & then you do your check in at the airport Toll will have the info but life would be easier with some acknowledgement
  15. Don't pander to here you will create a monster that isn't fun after awhile. Eating yes some like privacy but leaving foood for 30 mins nope ,ours get the 5 min rule no eat no food , Our Minis love going outside in the rain but again its time to reset the rules outside is toilet no matter what the weather is . Nipping heels again not acceptable & OH needs to address you can be a dogs playmate but both parties should have mutual respect. This isn't typical Mini behaviour & if you have young kids around at any stage may not be fun . From other posts you haven't had her long also consider that toileting inside could be because she is confused at what you expect from her. Just make sure she isn't being pandered to so much that she isn't becoming insecure ,she may respect you more because you treat her as a dog but still with love a mutual respct for each other & she nows where she stands with you but everyone needs to follow the same rules so she feels she fits in & nows where .
  16. You can visist to groom ,you must pay $160 for someone to stand there & watch you
  17. Im confused why you asked for advise then ??
  18. We always confirm our bitches are preggo so we now. Personally i would be at the vet whilst its day hrs especially if you aren't sure & if your vet isn't very offay in breeding look elsewhere
  19. We have double figure & coated breeds but i think it comes down to what your willing to sacrifice & commit too & whether you are able to house the dogs if things go pear shape with larger numbers & you are able to nothave favs & work with all ages & needs equally . But it also comes down to council regs ,like mentioned car size && whether the whole family is on board to also willing to put themselves out. Above all the dogs already at home need to be considered as to whether they are happy for new additions or not after all they make or break the dynamics
  20. *I would never attend a royal without a crate.not a fan of chaining especially when you don't now who your neighbours are & the dogs can chill out without my attention (toilet run, eating, snooze or just a wander to stretch my legs ) . *Cool coats if its hot its horrid in there *Chair ^headache tablets *we take our own drinks or certainly enough to hopefully last & buy lunch *A dog trolley if you have one is awesome for carting stuff if not a luggage style trolley or courier trolley to place items on & pull,if need be use plastic containers to store stuff in to cart more loads . *A very secure walking lead especially when leaving & having to walk through the crowds & past the roller coaster ,its chaoes at departure time * If you have a friend with you get your car around 4/4.30 & start loading as much as you can I actually found Sydney Royal to be disappointing for buying stuff so don't get to excited
  21. The goat had better manners than the dogs
  22. We board lots of dogs on it & no one has had issues nor have we seen any changes in those dogs . I would sooner use Sudafed
