Each dog is different so what you may want to feed may not even suit your dog ,4 cups may not be enough etc etc etc to be honest in a breed highly prone to bloat i wouldn't want to be feeding alot of dry. Like mentioned already giant breeds come with with different costs but not feeding right for the first 12 months can also be a nightmare long term & many breeders guarantee there growth on the diet they recommend . You may be able to discuss other options that fit into your budget but keep in mind the dog determines the "bill" & long term expenses . Many also feed raw meat . My 40 kg dog gets 2 cups of RC ,half kg of mutton ,occasional necks,fish or chicken mince

I am a groomer & we clip plenty of Cavs off,not what i would personally do & e inform owners of there options but in the end if owners don't hand strip them then in all fairness to the dogs there better clipped than matted & in the end you can argue insulation till the cows come home but its not going to affect dogs in this country & given what many groomers see i would sooner dogs be clipped regularly . All the ones we clip are purely for owners convenience but we generally still leave the top coat if its a good one & you can scissor the underbelly & pants to make it look like a puppy again. Rarely does it make them cooler in summer when clipped off but it makes the owners happier most just want no brushing & less hair around the house To me the dog looks like it has stacks of dead coat there BUT there is also ways of grooming so it still looks like a Cavie not making it look like rubbish .

I have the silver eagle & chamois & both do there jobs differently . The Silver Eagle stay wetter longer ,the chamois dry out quickly but are easier to wet down .I use the chamois for the quick ringside fix but prefer the Silver eagle if wanting longer use

Contact the Schnauzer club of NSW alot of the Mini breeders groom Minis full time Sadly when dogs end up constantly matted the pain of being clipped sticks in there head & so many of our clients also like to leave them long in winter but forget the dog pays the price long term. They then hate being brushed & put on a awesome performance & often win the battle as everyone gives up so it becomes the "norm". Personally we won't sedate any dogs whilst being groomed ,we find they panic worse as they now what is happening & are unable to cope with what is going on & the inability to understand why they feel so doopy . We have had clients bring in there dogs sedated but we won't do them . Same dogs where no issues not sedated .

You are looking after the dogs but you need to still realize they have a routine they are use to whether you like it or not ,the dogs may accept it they may not .Many small dogs (depending on the breed) do allow more food than many think is norm due to hypo attacks,if these are breeds that can be prone to it than you need to be very careful that what you think is right isn't going against the dogs. Our always have water ,we never withhold water even on pups . Exercise i do agree with others if these dogs aren't use to it be very careful ,Looking after dogs means doing it per instructions & it would seem you now alot about what they are use to ,i have never known someone to not leave instruction or people going to look after not ask ?? Alot of dogs aren't walked & life wonderful lives but suddenly going for long walks on dogs that aren't exposed to it can cause soreness or stress especially out with a stranger & given the owners don't walk then i would be respecting that If these dogs aren't use to toileting inside then you may face issues there & they hang on to long or get upset if they do mess inside. If they do pee inside it wont be there fault

The other thing is just because they are enetered is no guarantee they will turn up especially in summer , Sydney Royal or one of the big special shows would see them more likely to turn up so sometimes worth the drive for a life long pet

I have one of those tables ,they are heavy & good quality but the rubber tops are a tad slippery but the prices are very good

Has her mum said which height she prefers?? You can buy terrier tables which are tall & the table small or the more standard heights . We have multi kinds here & rarely use our terrier table for our small dogs . If she is stripping the coats out she may prefer to sit (we sit alot whilst grooming/stripping coats to save our backs) The tops also vary alot some the rubber is slippery & hard for the dogs to stay still. The Libertys had the best rubber tops .i have brought other tables for way cheaper which are excellent quality but the rubber isn't friendly for special underline grooming as the dogs slip . You can make your own ,easy to buy the stuf from Bunnings . Dog shows often have vendors there who sell tables etc etc .

What methods did you exactly use. I tend to find people go over board when training pups to mouth ,here its a case of less is more . All our dogs mouth well but we don't practice like crazy given the teething process. They now how to be mouthed & accept it but it isn't a thing we train over & over . I check my guys mouth in the bath each week & they get there teeth brushed but basically mouthing when a pup isn't done as part of show training at all

I would be going to a bowen person. My big guys get the occasional runs & its often due to pulling muscles in there gut & until treated the runs won't go . Muscles can affect there toilet habits very much so

We tell our clients with dogs that aren't brushed out thoroughly often enough what limit we will do it too as it can easily affect the skin. Grooming out a months worth of coat in 2 hrs isn't viable but generally what happens .People want there dogs brushed out thoroughly & often they haven't been bathed for the same amount of time either & we find all sorts of things . Impossible to give you an answer without seeing the coat & what the groomers had to deal with. Being a groomer brushouts here mean alot of work that in reality shouldn't be done in one session but as many clients only bring there dogs the bare minimum & expect alot more than what is realistic even after you explain they tend to not care & just want you to brush it out . It also may have nothing to do with the brushing at all & just a skin thing happening but ideally you should have taken it back when you noticed it if you had concerns .

Did your other dogs never live the same way ??

Your breeder will /should give a diet sheet that they have found successful in raisng could healthy/growing puppies. Many breeders guarantee also includes you feeding there diet or if requiring change doing so with there guidance. Not all foods suit every breed . Your breeder should have all these answers in there puppy pack & outline what they recommend & the ages & they should welcome phone calls for assistance. We give our new puppy owners our diet sheet a week before pup is due to leave so they can get food in & read it & ask any questions if required

I wouldn't have had her with me in the scenario you describe knowing she has issues. Pups will try to play but as you now your dog has issues then i would be more aware of the position the dog has been placed in & it would seem this wasn't the best option or you need to be better prepared for "what ifs" or they did not think they should inform me that they were planning an interaction between our dogs. For me this comment works both ways if your dog may be one to do something then i would also consider it your responsibility to say something as well ,play the active role that will best suit your dog

Yep looks Lab cross but the reality is you will never replace what you have lost new dog new history new features . All you can do is talk with breeders of go to a Goldie show & see what is out there

Make yourself a smart purchaser .For some reason people see buying a dog not as important when researching like other life long products/items. Any dog whether pure or cross can come with issues but understanding what is out there & seeing what varying breeders do to avoid health issues is a great start. Sadly not all breeds are blessed with testing that gives a straight out answer so breeders can only use the resources they have wisely

There is one shown in WA not sure why they are in the utility grp but they look like a Goldie cross Maremma. The temp of the one shown here is very stable in the ring with people & dogs may be different at work

We pick the pups after doing meet n greets. Will be honest & say the more picker puppy owners are then we don't proceed with a sale. Can appreciate people wanting certain things(within reason) but have found those set on certain things to be nightmare puppy owners who never stop complaining when the colour changes with age or other things that they simply won't believe is true when told before purchase.Been there don that & just don't entertain those puppy buyers anymore. We are lucky to always have more homes than required for our pups & plenty of people who are grateful to have a pup that suits there own needsno matter what colour,sex etc etc.

yep checking chips should be a must do on any persons list & knowing where it is located from the previous checks. This should be part of a vet visit or people can buy there own scanner. Mine get checked yearly at there annual eye checks & locations noted ,we also check with our own scanner . Scanners can play a big role too if not using multi readers . Although apparently there is a "scan Zone" that legally must be checked i gather if chip isn't found in this area its up to the user to check all over & i would dare say this doen't happen . Although i now of far to many failed reads anyway

Yep would do it in a heart beat & i do now people who have with both sires producing. Its a risk you take ^ generally those that have done it used an older male with a unknown history on producing and known producer just incase. Like mentioned in some breeds its a good risk due to selling pups & the size litters & can also open the door to fast tracking new lines in breeds with few options other than importing or semen of which these are risk options as well

What breeds do they like the ones you have listed are just as much work if not more than many terriers . When you say spend time at other peoples houses what size do they feel will work in that area,not everyone will appreciate a big bouncy Wei in there backyard . Running off will just be the same with a gundog .
