The next time you encounter a dog he doesn't know you need to be as relaxed as you possibly can. He will feel your anxiety and think he needs to be on the defensive otherwise. I'm guessing it could possibly be harder to get him out around other dogs if you live in a remote area. All of mine have been attacked at one time or another and I got them out around other dogs again as soon as possible and just went on with our daily activities. One of mine was serverly affected by a dog attack but there was more than one dog which made it a lot worse, she is still reactive on occasion to larger dogs but much better in a social dog situation if she is off lead. All you can really do is play it by ear and take it as it comes, you might be suprised he might be the kind of dog that just takes things in his stride and it won't affect him at all. Is there any reason why you have waited so long to take him to obedience classes? So he will be 10 months when you start?

I am the same as Kja, my cards are not exxy ones, just ebay and the likes, cheapies really. used and abused in and out of the camera all the time and never a worry. Wonder if it is a D90 specific problem, it might be getting caught inside the camera making it week??

Totally agree re the b&w it's always worth a try, sometimes I'll make something b&w and I'm surprised it actually looks better than colour.

Great shot, I like the cloudy the best. The black and white the least, I don't think the b&w does the pic any justice compared to the colored versions.

That is so great and believe about the sixth sense thing. Both of my girl are Delta therapy dogs and visit our local hospital. One of my girls is happy to go but we call her the princess and usually it is all about her, she is in it for pats and cuddles for patients and she gets a tid bit of food then that all good too. BUT my other girl is totally different, she is just so great with the patients and is great with knowing exactly what to do and who needs what kind of doggy affection. As soon as we walk in to the place she just knows, it really is amazing!! It is also amazing how much difference the dogs visiting makes to the patients they just love it and get so much out of it.

Can you cut them with something. When my guys have raw hide treats but I don't give them a whle one I cut them in half, well Hubby does, he uses the scissors on the thunner ones and some kind of tool from the shed for the tough ones. I don't use any kind of heard treats for training, I use liver, cheese, deli meat (ham, chicken straz etc) sausage, left overs roast, corn beef and such. I always use soft stuff as it is easier for them to get down in a second and keep training going swiftly.

Yea what a sh!t night! Sean just rang and said boggy was just covered in white hail, (he was heading to Pt Campbell) he had also heard on the radio that two cars come off the road at Garvoc, they had also had a massive hail storm. Hate him being on the road in this weather! CB any sign of puppies yet?

I Wash Lacys sucky toys when they get over sucked I have some pics, I'll see if I can find them tomorrow. It's funny too, mine all love thier toys and share but they know that Lacys special toys are hers.

Great shots, I have not got any whale shots yet this year! Had some awesome ones last year. To me some of them look surreal, like the boat one with the whale in the back ground, I have some of my dogs playing on the beach with the whale behind them. The hugeness of the whole thing kind of freaks me out.

My oldest girl now nearly 5 has a sucky toy, I don't let her have it all the time as I think it would possily damage her teeth if she did it quite often. She doesn't look to do it all the time and she mainly does it when she is tired, it seems to comfort her and she like your girl sucks until the toy is soaked. She also seems to have a huge lot of it in her mouth. She only does it with a certain couple of toys, they are really soft fluffy ones. My girl came off her mother and was weened too early and I always wonder if that is why she does it. I have 3 others and none of them do it at all.
