  1. Thanks, seems to be the thoughts of a lot of my friends I can't for the life of me think why??
  2. Thanks, yes my mum and sis said the pics on fb look a bluey color. I have been planning it for a long time just couldn't decide on the design, then it just came to me. I really love it. I personally know the artist, he works with me at Bunnings and his work is awesome. If anyone wants his name let me know. He works at the new tatt joint in town in Timor street near the icecreamery. Yes I do have 2 others Ill see if i can find pics of them and post em up. they are not dog related though!
  3. Just thought I'd show off my latest piece of art work!!
  4. A Bengal sprung to mind, a girl at work has two, similar markings as LA.
  5. Gorgeous photos, is LA a special type of kitty, he has very tiger like markings.
  6. Happy Birthday Beautiful fluffy white doggy, got any more pics sam man? is your doggie really called fluffy??
  7. Oh good old Bert, I haven't seen him for a while! he woudl have been wrapped to see you and Bruno, he is always asking about you guys. Will txt you if Im heading out for a walk. I think the weather over the weekend is supposed to be very ordinary!
  8. You must have had your ears burning, Tez and I were just talking about you and here you are! It will be good if you have Casey ( Moby) back while she recover. bet you getting excited about your trip by now! I got the a letter back from Delta to say they got my paperwork! And the assessment sometime in aug/sept, I'm hoping Sept! I had an offer of one of the dogs to be used in a photo shoot in Melbourne on Monday, but I had to knock it back due to a few reasons, will explain more when I see you, hope we can catch up before you go. I know that's probably a long shot but you never know!
  9. It will he interesting tom see what the vet says, hope it's nothing serious. Here's the tooth dilemma http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=201639 Are you coming into training on Sunday, I hear the weather is meant to be very bad?
  10. It sounds like you are doing the best you can and it can be tricky with youngsters (Human ones) to keep all happy. It will get better!
  11. What worked with my lot was ignore all bad behaviour, no scolding, no yelling, no chastising just totally ignore, if it is so bad you can't ignore take her out of the situation. The reason for this is any attention to a pup is just that attention whether it be good or bad attention it is still attention. (hope that makes sense) when she is good reward only reward good behaviour, it doesn't always have to be food it can be a toy a pat a play anything really. How much excersise is she getting, if she is bored she will be destructive. A walk or a little short training session will tire her out. Does she got to puppy preschool of any sort? You've had her for 3 weeks so I'm guessing she is about 11 - 12 weeks old??
  12. Hi Tez, Ive never heard of anything like that in a young dog. The last time the vet checked my lots teeth, Cooper has the beginning of gingivitis but the vet said that is common. Even with him eating lots of bones and now I brush his teeth it is still there. I do worry. Maybe he has like some kind of a fault in the tooth, is the other one ok? Would it be visible in a photo do you think? Maybe you could post a pic. He can join me at the moment I am going into my 6th day with an abscess in my front tooth and even now after two days of antibiotics there is still no relief, arghhhh. Do you think the tooth is causing gus any discomfort??
  13. The world is full of idiots, I'm guessing she doesn't have any children?

    Bad Cough

Did the vet say Kennel cough. Usually they don't give ABs unless it is a secondary infection which it could very well be by the sounds of it. Best to keep her quiet, and indoors if possible. 2 of mine had it and it took a few days for them to get over it. Not 100% sure of incubation period but I would keep her away from any other dogs till she is not coughing any more. What sort of pup is she?
  15. Beautiful pups, can't wait to see the pram shots!
  16. Well someone was definatly watching over you and your doggies that day!! Was the stove left on?
  17. How scary, my biggest concern is for my own forgetfulness as mine stay inside during the day. Im pretty sure they sleep on the bed and Cooper doesn not sleep in the crate during the day. But how aweful it would be for it to catch on fire if I want home and the dogs were inside! My worst nightmare, everyones really I guess. I don't go out and leave the dryer on either. My BIL is an SEC employee and he tells us some horrendous stories of fires in homes and how they are started!
  18. maybe plug it into a timer? Good idea, I was actually thinking I might get my OH to make it part of his morning ritual, Coop always gets up with him but the other 3 stay in bed with me. The youngest is in his crate and OH lets him out to get up with me, so at the same time he could switch off the bed then I don't have to remember I've got a memory like sieve!
  19. Thanks Guys, Cooper feels the cold, he gets on the bed if he gets cold and thats ok but with the girls and Cooper on the bed it doesn't leave much room for the humans We do have our central heating going 24/7 in winter and while it never gets below 20 degrees he still seems to get cold on occasion, especially after he has had a bath in the evening (I do dry him thoroughly with the hair dryer) I think half the trouble is he hasn't got any fat on his bones to keep him warm. I also worry after he has been clipped in winter so he sometimes wears a fleecy top at night too. He is loving sleeping in the crate now with the heated bed and his normal mattress on top. I think I will just be vigilant in making sure it is turned off during the day. Thanks again for the replys!
  20. Another vote for lumix, I had two before I got my slr and the quality is awesome, they just never faulter! Steer clear nikon point and shoot. My slr is nikon and it's awesome, my p & s is nikon as well and I'd gladly swap it for something else anyday. I've also had a canon p & s and they are ok. What ever you get make sure you get one with a lithium battery, that way you can recharge it and notbhave to worry about regular battrys. It's confusing because there is a lot of p & s around these days!! One of my panas had a swivel live display they are awesome!!
  21. bloody he'll just the reply I was NOT hoping for. I hope no one/dog was hurt. This was my concern with putting extra weight on top. Someone else told me the dog should not sleep directly on top of them. lots of confusing conflicting advice!
  22. Russell peters funny guy! I think it could be genetic as well Bronsons breeder always says Bobby (Brons dad) is a shocking sook, and so are a couple of his brothers. So there has to be something in it! I don't usually give in to Bronsons whining but I do occassionally with Cooper, they are both so different. But the whining and sooking can be really annoying at times!
  23. Just wondering for those of you that use the heated pet beds, do you have a separate mattress on top of the heated one? Cooper would not sleep on his on it's own, but someone suggested another mattress on top as it may have been too hot. It worked well he sleeps in there ( heated bed is in crate) All the time now and seems to love it! Is it safe to have another mattress on top? Also is it safe to leave it turned on all the time? I have a low voltage heated towel rail that is safe to use on all the time so I wondered if the heated pet beds were designed the same? I don't leave my towel rail on all the time and same with pet bed but occasionally I forget to switch it off. I just want to know how safe / reliable they are?
